Afternoon cable ‘news’ is an exercise in pure disingenuousness primarily by people running those shows. They seem to pretend their mission is to appeal to both sides no matter how batshit crazy one side is. Ignoring facts, context, or even the main topic they pretend they’re discussing (i.e. shutdown) it’s all dressed up in subterfuge while stoking conflict at the expense of real people’s lives. This isn’t about tRump’s wall anymore, in fact it never has been or REpubs in Congress would have passed that in the last two years…This is about tRump’s shutdown. How hard is that to see and focus on? He said it his own damn self. Why can’t they accept his own words instead of choosing all the other words he uses to contradict himself?
I thought cable would get somewhat better after tRump was (s)elected and they saw the error of their ways…but in many respects they haven’t. As for Faux, they’ll never change until they lose all of their sponsors en masse and go bankrupt.

Rachel and Lawrence do not horserace/bothsider as much as the earlier shows. And, to be honest, there is a difference between those who watch Lawrence versus those who watch Rachel
