Make sure they know how to remove tire tracks, Pencey. You’re gonna be covered in them from the Drumpf Bus.

You know all those staffers Kasowitz told to sit tight because they didn’t need lawyers?

I can hear them from here.

“Hey!! What about us??!!!”

Clearly not taking that sage advice from Kasowitz…

Richard Cullen is the lawyer—and he represented Tom Delay and was appointed as AG of VA by George Macaca Allen.

Right-winger through and through.

It’s big news. It’s huuuuge. It’s tremendous.

Article indicates that Pence has hired an attorney to respond to inquiries by the special counsel. It would seem to me that Flynn has flipped to some degree. Comey had mentioned Pence in relation to Flynn during his testimony. There’s also the issue of whether he knew of any collusion pre-election. Pence will likely flip to avoid any risk of perjury or obstruction so that he can claim the presidency on succession. He’ll tell the truth about Trump and Flynn if he can avoid a charge and formal investigation.

As I said earlier, Comey all but called Pence a liar during his testimony…

Maybe Pence and Sessions can become mutual Perjury Pen-Pals or even cell mates…

I’m just waiting to see lifeboats, mounted on davits, installed at the second floor windows of the Oval Trailer,

Who cares if there’s no water…

Yeah, Pence could be hoping to throw Trump et al under the bus and slide into the Oval office…

Pence: “I spend a little bit of time on my knees every day.”

From now on, the amount of that time is going to grow exponentially with each passing day.

Next step, a “gerrymandered presidency” under Paulie Ryan

Better than a jerryfordered pardon by Pence of Trump.

Pence would flip in my view to avoid a perjury or obstruction charge. It’s not clear to me yet that he would be at risk of prosecution on anything else, though in a worst case scenario he could be implicated in conspiracy. I see no reason for him to protect Trump or Sessions. A big question to me is whether a front is opened up on the GOP itself. Mueller is looking at money laundering and is convinced it happened. He’s just looking for the channels in which payments were made that tie to collusion. What if, as has been rumored, that in addition to paying off hackers and Trump aides, the GOP Convention in Cleveland involved several meetings between Russians and GOP officials to direct campaign contributions from US corporate entities owned by pro-Putin Ukrainians and Russians into GOP Pacs? Scott Dworkin has identified several instances of GOP Pacs receiving money from such corps, but the issue is knowledge and a tacit agreement. Perhaps Trump used this arrangement to buy GOP acquiescence. Maybe Pence, Sessions and Flynn know something about this?

Ryan is already on tape having some working knowledge or suspicion of the Trump-Putin partnership. Does he know more?

There has to be a reason that Manafort “made” Pence.

There must be several “classic trump” Tweets which cover this news.

“I can confirm that the Vice President has retained Richard Cullen of McGuire Woods to assist him in responding to inquiries by the special counsel,”

Pence’s communications director Jarrod Agen told the Washington Post by email.
