Discussion: Pence Defends Trump's Insults By Bringing Up 'Basket Of Deplorables'

And Pence is still dancing around this by accusing the Clinton campaign of being “insult-driven.” Has he even listened to his running mate speak?? He’s high atop Bullshit Mountain.

One comment from Hillary up against at least 37 by trump at a minimum
I could cut and paste all 37 but you get the idea.

You’re one of those deplorables, Frying-Pan-Face.

Calm down Meri, it was a joke

37? I think you missed at least half of Trump’s insults.

Yeah, I high graded.

Kaine could have pushed back harder on this if he wanted. Clinton refused to take back what she said, Kaine implied she apologized. Clinton was very clear that this is a fight she wanted to have.

One key is that Clinton admitted she was wrong to lump half of Trumps supporters in with the significant percentage to which her comment applied. Trump only knows how to double down on every insult. And if that’s not enough, he can always tweet his triple down at 3am.

It was clear early in the debate that Pence wanted to tag the Clinton campaign as the “insult-driven” campaign, in a painfully transparent attempt to deflect attention from the nonstop insults spewing from the Orange one’s mouth (and/or twitter feed).

Not sure anyone - including Trumpmaniacs) swallowed that whopper.

Which part? I was just referring to Pence’s flat iron face

While the basket of deplorables comment is vague and in general, Pence or the basketful do not deny it.
It really isn’t an insult if it’s true, IOW.
Hell, Trump supporters are making hats and tee shirts and creating avatars to promote their deplorableness. It’s not only real-but they are damned proud of it.

i REALLY wish Kaine had responded, at least in part, by asking Pence if he thought David Duke was deplorable … then asking if he thought [insert various white nationalist groups who have expressed support for trump] were deplorable … etc.
