23 chickens
It’s a delicate balance. Sounding positive enough to excite the voters without making them complacent.
I guess I’m just dumb, but I don’t get the eggs thingee.
Counting your chickens before they’re hatched.
Of course, @steviedee111 being @steviedee111, there’s a bit more than that there.
Thank you. Double yolks, no doubt.
Here’s hoping we’re not shell shocked.
I am really hoping the House gains are in the 40+ range. That would be a wave. Kinda wish Rep. Pelosi would’ve just expressed confidence and left it at that. Let the votes do the talking. My guess is that she doesn’t touch down much between CA and DC.

Great line. Always effective.
Yea, yea, yea, but what’s with the ‘23’?
That’s the extra jab I alluded to.
Counting your chickens before they are hatched can mean something as natural as “12 eggs = 12 chickens.”
That in itself can be a mistake — but then to extrapolate from 12 eggs to 23 chickens … well, you get the point, I’m sure.
You better stop it steviedee!
23 seats to flip the house ?
Is it just me, but was she really distracted last night?
I was with Colbert, just put a sock in it. Every vote is needed in so many races that might not make a difference in whether she finds herself in the Majority party again, but make a hell of a lot of difference to a hell of a lot of people’s near-future representation and long-term civil rights. It’s not running up the score in those races, it’s fighting for their lives.
To be fair, she is just stating the obvious from pretty much all the available evidence. However, dems need to not just win but run up the score. Only then do we stand a chance to not only stop, but reverse, the damage Trump is doing.
My political radar is so broken since Drumpf won (even though he didn’t, really) that no Dem victory seems certain. If people vote, it’s a slam dunk.
