she also needs to call for fartandhold and barton to resign immediately
This is a societal issue, one truly where “both sides do it” applies, and only one side pays the price for it?
I hope you know what you’re doing, Ms Pelosi.
She doesn’t.
#NewManagement
Vote for someone else in 2018 if you don’t like Pelosi.
Ryan waited for Pelosi to call for Conyers to resign.
Has anyone heard that Ryan called for resignations? Barton resigned without Ryan publicly asking him to.
Yes. Yes, this is BRILLIANT idea. Have all Dems resign if there is even a whiff of scandal about them.
Oh, and at the same time, we also want Dems to take back the House and Senate and win the WH in '20. So,…no big deal, right?
Here’s my idea: how about having the constituents make up their own minds what they want in their Representative? Yep, that includes people in AL.
Barton has NOT resigned at all. He said he is not running for reelection.
I guess things are heating up for Franken to resign.
Hey, to make this a perfect self-defeating scarlet letter day, let’s have Donna Brazile chime in, too…
One doesn’t vote for Minority Speaker. I am a long-time all-in progressive and have supported Dems, DNC, DSCC, and Madame Pelosi for years.
But it is time for goddamned new management.
Oh, right. Good grief. He said he wasn’t running for reelection.
Yeah.
You would prefer a he-man?
@jimtoday Franken doesn’t need to resign.
Hell no.
I’d prefer someone new, which is the adjective I employed. Would vastly prefer a female, if we’re playing identity politics.
I live in Texas. Barton did not resign.
Well, sorry, dude. Pelosi knows what she’s doing, unlike a lot of other morons in Congress right now.
@dr_coyote Yeah. I temporarily thought he should have resigned, but didn’t.
Got nothing to say to that assertion.
Maybe you think her stepping down as Leader will motivate the lazy millennials who never make it to the voting booth, and I do know how Minority Leader is chosen. And I know how she remains in the House. She was in fact planning to resign if Clinton had won. She’s there because she thinks she must. She’s a strategist and a prodigious fundraiser, who’s going to do that instead? And I’m tired of the overt ageism and sexism in focusing on her.
Good.
But impeachment’s off the table (“It’s not someplace that I think we should go…”).
Makes sense.
I don’t know what the issue is with her, because she’s good. No one else in the House has her experience and qualifications, especially those who think they can do a better job.
Where have we heard this before?
And look what that got us.
