Discussion for article #228438
The âignoranceâ of Fox Not Really Newsâ coverage is only exceeded by the ignorance of their viewership.
I wouldnât ask Andrea Tantarosâs opinion on anything, especially something scientific.
You can imagine the Fox response before they even form the words. âThe liberal mediaâs attempt to misinform Americans wonât deter us at Fox News from spreading the truth!â
The predictability of ignorance is truly stunning.
About time.
âIt borders on irresponsibility when people get on television and start talking that way when they should know betterâ
Thatâs the slogan over at Fox: Fox News - Bordering on Irresponsibility.
Glad OâBrien got a regular gig again.
Does CNN even have a dedicated science desk anymore?
It borders on irresponsibility
âItâ being the state of Wingnuttia, the Mecca and holy ground of Fox -dwelling haters, bigots and racists of all stripesâwhere ignorance is the only currency, and the poor dance willingly to the Kochsâ tune.
Actually, their slogan is âIf youâre not scared, weâre not doing our job!â
There is a reason FOX noise is licensed as an entertainment network.
In that link to Andrea Tantaros talking about witch doctors, she first said: " âI think we know that we canât rely on people for human intelligence." She then went on to say that " they let him out of this hospital, and he exposed himself to children."
Does anyone pay any attention to what this moron says at Fox, or how she says it?
Interesting idea to ânot allowâ ignorance in the media. Letâs see: at least weekly tests for anchors on the key facts and The Whole Truth for current events; like a restaurant, their grade is on-screen when they are, and if too low, they get suspended. And a slight broadcast delay to run what they say through a natural language processor to make sure they say what they believe, as evidenced by those tests, to separate and identify the plain morons from the craven liars that are only in it for the money. So maybe an on-screen Pinocchio graphic.
Fox News shills for the conservative crazies of the Republican party who employ fear tactics, ignoring facts, to achieve political ends. To wit: âWeâre not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers,â Romney pollster Neil Newhouse said at a panel organized by ABC News.
Apparently they have damn good âwitch doctorsâ in Nigeria. I just hope our doctors do as well in Dallas.
Finally, a voice of reason. What took so fucking long. It is totally irresponsible to be scaring people just to hook them in for ratings and viewership. Spot on Mr. OâBrien. Public Health Education should be job #1 in the media over this issueâŚThe hype and hysterics over Ebola in the US is just embarrassing.
Meanwhile, if the guy in Texas doesnât die from his illness with the virus, Texas jackass officials already plan on arresting him for coming into the country legally, but with an illness he had no way of knowing he would succumb to. Suuure, nothing racist about that. That doctor from Franklin Grahamâs Christian humanitarian group that got the illness and needed special attention in the US to be treatedâŚNo Problemo.
Why doesnât Fox ask Sarah Palin about Ebola?
She is always willing to give her opinion on things she doesnât have a clue about. Which is pretty much everything.
Without fear mongering, ignorance, and idiocy, conservatives have nothing.
They might be proud to describe themselves as âbordering on irresponsibilityâ - but I think FOX crossed that line (i.e. border) long ago.
Interesting⌠When asked about climate change they all clamor they are not scientists but all of a sudden when itâs about black people and Ebola all of a sudden they all are geniuses and experts. Fox is for imbeciles and they do know their viewers very well.
They might as well use it as they have been practicing ignorance and irresponsibility for well over a decade.
