As someone who puts their trust in NPR news Gwen will be missed. Not many news people with her integrity remain.
2016 is turning out to be not a good year. I already have a bad feeling for 2017. It might be worse.
I haven’t had the TV on since the 8th of Nov. And rarely had the truck radio on…the truck stays tuned to NPR however.
This sucks.

I have long admired Gwen Ifil. There is a some shoes at PBS that will be very hard to fill. RIP.
I’ve had the TV on, but I haven’t watched one minute of cable news since then. It’s just too much.
Gwen was one of the few professionals left in journalism. Very sad.
She was a real journalist. She was passed over as host of MTP, GMA and other shows (guess why) but she remained professional and went on to host a National News hour. She was the consummate professional. This is a very sad day. R.I.P. Gwen.
I have resorted to watching Hallmark Channel movies… always a happy ending. Don’t know when I can go back to reality of what’s happening.
