Discussion for article #225559
Color me unsurprised…
Who? Oh, that guy who did nothing.
This lawsuit is a precursor to impeachment. Either or both will backfire spectacularly.
I say both.
What a dope.
The traditional constitutional way would be for Congress to exercise its power through the power of the purse.
Or impeach. What are they afraid of? Just stop playing silly games and DO it.
By the way, why aren’t the “fiscal conservatives” who are so concerned their kids’ grandkids’ kids will have to pay the national debt asking how much this will cost the taxpayers?
What about budget hawk Ryan? Yet he’s voting for this shit?
This is a huge risk simply to keep their base fired up. They know they’re screwed in the long run but will do whatever it takes to maintain power as long as they can.
P.S. Don’t forget to vote in November.
So…he is so concerned about the Constitution that he simply must support attempts at unconstitutional actions because they lack the political power to force a bill through Congress with enough votes to override any veto.
In other news, some dogs still chase their tails and never catch them.
“We are very concerned about the lawlessness of the administration exceeding the executive branch’s authority and we’re going to need to take the month of August off to recover from the stress it is causing us.”
Let’s sue Paul Ryan. We can easily find some basis for a suit that’s as good as the suit the Repugnants are planning against the President.
Since I became old enough to vote, I have never not voted, and I cannot understand why so many people turn out just for presidential elections and not mid-terms. That’s where so much that happens under a president is decided. But that’s preaching to the choir.
I think the vote will be 201-234.
There’s the impersonation of the the brainy go-to guy on policy particularly monetary and social issues.
Prediction; this suit is thrown out shortly after it is filed. No standing, no tort, no case. But then, the modern day Congressional GOP is not really interested in doing anything, other than harassing the President. Heckuva job, wingnuts!
Yes, he lawlessly engaged in lawless activities that were so lawless that we, being lawful, must sue him in a court of law for his lawlessness. Although Obama’s lawless acts are literally too numerous to enumerate at this time, suffice to say that we have compiled a a long list of his lawless activities, which everybody knows he has lawlessly engaged in because he is, after all, lawless, which we will disclose at the appropriate time. This list is a lawful indictment of this lawless administration’s flagrant lawlessness. We are appalled by any lawlessness by presidents because it is our patriotic duty as lawful members of Congress to challenge lawless acts whenever and wherever they occur, and that is what we are doing because Obama is lawless.
Meanwhile, we await Ezra Klein’s pronouncement on whether this a case of a Ryan being a serious person acting unseriously or an unserious person acting seriously.
TO Our Base:
We hate Frivolous Lawsuits. We HATE THEM!!! We LOATHE them with every fiber of our living, breathing souls.
We will do everything we can, passing law after law after law to stop these lawsuits that have no chance of succeeding, that waste YOUR money, YOUR taxes!!
Oh.
Never mind.
The GOTP. (aka, the Stupid party)
Except the media will play it up. They will barely mention that President Obama has signed but a fraction of the number of executive orders that Bush and Reagan signed. The media won’t cover that since it would blow up the GOP’s cornerstone and they never want to upset their GOP buddies. Ryan will likely now get invited to Meet The Press this weekend or next just so he can trumpet this. To David Gregory’s glee.
Lyin ryan is the do nothing liar for the rabid right…His new proposal is more cruel than the last…A panty-waste and anti-women, children, and veterans!
Get the hook!
Waste OUR time on YOUR OWN dime, yafrigginmoron.
