Given how these guys work they will need the two years and then still get it done at the last minute. It would only be worse if, and likely, they hold onto the house, but lose the Senate and the Presidency. If that happens than it will be rough governing for them.

Ryan is going to find out the hard way that he can’t hide behind phony numbers now that he’s actually in charge. Doubly so if a Democrat wins in 2016.

Of course he will. His feigned anger/horror/outrage yesterday was for show while his aides worked closely with Boehner, the Democrats and the White House to craft a viable deal. His fingerprints are all over it. He’s just trying to play the rubes. That ruse, he’ll soon learn, will come to naught. He just needs to man up and slap them down.

??? The electoral vote margin in 2012 was 332 to 206. The margins in '96, '92, '88, '84, '80, '72, and '64 were all more one-sided, in some cases dramatically so.

Paul, do you hear that sound? It is the long knives being drawn by the “freedom” caucus.
I predict that once he changes the process to give the small fry Freedom Caucus the ability to legislate from their chairs, they all will still cry like babies when their ideas get voted down.
I think the key to the word “team” is the assumption that you can get your players in one room without them killing each other.

What are the specifics of this bold agenda? Repealing Obamacare? Impeaching the head of the IRS? Getting rid of Social Security? Tax cuts? Denying global climate change is man-made?
What are you guys going to do to HELP the MAJORITY of Americans? Jobs, including plans to replace aging infrastructure would be a great start.

I think somebody pointed out to him that he was publicly becoming the Free Dumb Caucus’s prison bitch and that he might try, you know, standing up to them at least once before the chamber votes.

Paul Ryan WILL EITHER make or break the Republican Party. When the garage collectors come to clean out the trash from Congress will he be thrown out with REST OF TRASH or will he survive? Something is going to change REAL SOON. The Democrats WILL TAKE BACK BOTGH HOUSES AND THE WHITE HOUSE.
Hard to believe that he does not know about the “substance of the bill”.
