Discussion for article #226598
I’m torn between asking what a guy from two states away, who has never done anything concrete as a lawmaker, has to do with anything…
…and just saying “nine-eleven” between a bunch of coughs.
Paul Ryan is what happens when small, closed, parochial minds read and take to heart the writings of Alisa Rosenbaum
“There is no problem with the federal government having a role,” he said. “But in all of these things, local control, local government, local authorities who have the jurisdiction, who have the expertise, who are actually there are the people who should be in the lead.”
Kind of glad Lincoln didn’t see it that way . . .
Dommyluc: A lawmaker like Paul Ryan can suck my balls (H/T: Eric Cartman).
Paul Ryan has used race to further his career as much as any politician in the South did during the civil rights era, especially in his usage of false statistics about the poor and minorities. Fuck you, Paul Ryan, and I wish someone in the media would call out this despicable charlatan for what he is: a patent medicine salesman.
That someone could say:
“who have the expertise”
with a straight face means he needs to be kicked in the nuts. A bunch.
Ryan continued: “Although I think it is pretty clear that the people protesting should not be receiving all of the welfare that they are obviously getting. We need to put a stop to that.”
Spoken like the smarmy student-council president he never stopped being.
About the only thing obvious about Ferguson is that the locals can’t handle it; yet Ryan cautioned against allowing the federal government to take on a large oversight role in Ferguson.
“There is no problem with the federal government having a role,” he said. “But in all of these things, local control, local government, local authorities who have the jurisdiction, who have the expertise, who are actually there are the people who should be in the lead.”
What a jackass…
Added Ryan:
“Be whiter, and try to be born into a family with money. It worked for me.”
It’s always the same with the right wing nuts when their favored policies – in this case militarizing police – go wrong.
“Oh, no, don’t use this perfect example of why we should change our policies as a perfect example of why we should change our policies!”
After every shooting, “Don’t use this to talk about gun control!”
After no one in Toledo is allowed to drink water because phosphates caused algae blooms, “Don’t use this to talk about controlling lawn and farm runoff!”
After the entire global economy is trashed by banks taking on too much risk, “Don’t use this to talk about separating banking from investing!”
Ridiculous.
Only if people stop talking about it.
Of course they generally do.
And where was Paul Ryan to say not to capitalize on Benghazi when the RNC and other right wing orgs had their Benghazi stores and gear up for sale?
It sounds to me like Ryan has learned to keep his mouth shut, and is advising other Republicans to do the same, because we all know anything they say will sound ignorant, stupid, and racist
Yeah, don’t Schiavo it.
Chiding others from capitalizing on Ferguson while doing the same on Fox News.
The Justice Department is conducting its own inquiry in addition to a
state investigation, but the Wisconsin Republican cautioned against
allowing the federal government to take on a large oversight role in
Ferguson.
Someone asked me what I mean by “sado-federalist”. Tenth Amendment fetishist, Ryan fits the bill.
When exactly has lawmakers (including Paul Ryan) not tried to capitalize on a tragedy (whether negatively or positively)?
Zombie eyed granny starver tries his hand at concern trolling.
Never has psychological projection been so obvious.
