Discussion: Paul Ryan: I’m Not Going To ‘Pretend We’re Unified’ After ‘Grueling’ Primary

I think there’s an error in that transcript. He’s not talking about unification. He’s talking about unicorn fornication. After all, he’s a WHIZ KID BUDGET GURU.

Worse the primary is not over, and Ted Cruz wasn’t gone for too long he is back at it trying to stir trouble up.

No, no…Paul’s going to pretend to care about the heroin addicts while, I guess, leaving domestic heroin providers to safely assume their ‘free’ market niche?

Aw, c’mon Ryan, pretending is what you do best. That’s what they pay you for.

Maybe this is the moment of clarity that comes after you’ve hit rock bottom.

He’s been getting so much crap lately that I would not be surprised if he becomes a heroin addict himself.

Contact number in the Rolodex ‘cuz you know he’s received contributions from domestic heroin providers’ shell companies…

Paul, are you still trying to weasel out of being the convention chairman?

As much fun as it is to hear of the GOP’s problems and infighting, it’s not at all clear Bernie will bow out gracefully and urge his supporters to support Clinton. Some weeks in the future this article about unification will be written about the Democratic party and will be just as true.

It’s so exciting…which two-faced weasel will be Trump’s VP???

A divided party cannot stand…it’s nominee.

Bad enough that he has to fight the Freedom Caucus weekly but now he’s reduced to saying, of his own Party’s nominee

Don’t know the man, never met him, wouldn’t know what he looked like if he jumped up my ass.

After what Speaker Boehner has done to Paul Ryan, I need to rethink the idea of Republicans not having a sense of humor.

Here’s hoping he suggests releasing tax returns would help make up his mind, just to make the posturing more interesting.

in my opinion, paul ryan’s claim that he doesn’t, “…really know him” is every bit as convincing as trump’s claim to not know anything about david duke. ryan’s had about thirty years to develop an opinion. what’s with the shoulder shrug?

You can’t handle Donald, he’s one of those CRAZY-GUYS, he’s a PRETENDER…next week who knows who or WHAT, he’ll be. NOT to long ago, he was a Democrat, one of Hillary’s friends. What ya going to do with those marbles, MR Speaker??? O, BTW, those marbles you’re ‘working’ with are Donald’s …DONT’ LOSE ANY

Paul Ryan has made it his life’s mission to serve the wealthy (to better serve himself). Ryan cannot support Trump until his wealthy benefactors reconcile to the idea of supporting Trump. Ryan is not going to bite the obscenely wealthy hand that feeds him.

The GOP Base wants Trump. That bell cannot be unrung. Moreover, the GOP Base is as tangentially connected with policy as it always was… so there is nothing Eddie Munster can say that “sounds like policy” which would change any objective situation with demagogue Trump (for whom “policy” is something insurance companies handle).

The only thing left to do is to keep stalling.

Paulie going to fall in line just like the rest of the slimy spineless racist (in all of it forms). Because money greed and power are they’re life goal. And that mean they sale their own mother/father to achieve that goal.
IMO this is just another media fake-out. Drumf just pull the cover off a party that been trying to tell you that it as all our imagination. Question become how many people are going to keep sleepwalking like they been doing for the last 6+ years.

“To pretend we’re unified as a party after coming through a very bruising primary, which just ended like a week ago, to pretend we’re unified without actually unifying, we go into the fall at half strength,” he told reporters.

The Wisconsin congressman continued: “That means we need a real unification of our party. Look, after a tough primary, that’s going to take some effort.”

Will it take less than two months and seven days to do it?
