Sez the guy who definitely wasn’t running for Speaker.
Do you really not believe him. You can like him or hate him, but he’s no dummy. There is no win for him for doing this. He knows the republican party has all but thrown this race. so why he would run and ruin his future doesn’t make sense
Off Topic but the Suprem,e Court just unanimously decided the following case in our favor. Conservatives who brought the case lost. One person one vote.
Evenwel v. Abbott

Issue: Whether the three-judge district court correctly held that the “one-person, one-vote” principle under the Equal Protection Clause allows States to use total population, and does not require States to use voter population, when apportioning state legislative districts.
Definitely not = Likely Will in today’s RealGOTPSpeak.
What was he in Israel for? Burnishing his foreign policy cred ahead of the brokered convention? OH what a shiny Great White Hope he plans to be…
I like it when he slowly peels off a stocking but he needs a snare drum accompaniment…
hybris !
that book cover always makes me ROFLMAO, those arrogant bastards…
I tend to agree, but there’s really no limit to the amount of stupid a man is capable of committing to when the adoration he feels for himself is reflected in the fawning adulation of a doe-eyed public. If he comes up as their Knight in Shining Armor in some crazy “Recruit Ryan” scheme during the convention, then the lure of it may indeed prove irresistible to him and his ego.
I disagree. I think there isa lot of “win for him.” He would not have to run in the primaries, which means he could easily peddle a faux centrist line. There would be story after story of Ryan the uniter; the GOP repudiating extremism, etc. Even if he did not win the general, the GOP would likely hold he House, and have a much, much better chance at the Senate. The trick, though, is that Ryan can’t seem to want it right now. And the original poster is correct. This was exactly the strategy Ryan used to obtain the Speaker of the House. He “didn’t want it, but out of a duty to unite the party, he accepted it.”
"I think you should run if you’re going to be President. I think you should start in Iowa and run to the tape,”
What is this, a track and field event allusion?
I agree. And the implication is that denying Trump will mean that Cruz gets the nomination, which might make sense for establishment Republicans. They’ve probably already given up on winning in November and they really dislike Cruz, so why not put him out in front to take all the flak from enraged Trump supporters?
Ryan: What can I say, I feel I am entitled to it.
When the conclave of Randian Job Creators and Wise Men the RNC is assembling to be the delegates wisely ignore the desires of the moocher white trailer trash and cry out to him to be the Savior who saves America and the World from the depths of socialist dependency and despair that Obama has spawned, do you truly believe Atlas won’t shrug?
@Sniffit. Well I won’t argue about no limit to the amount of stupid a man is capable of but it just seems not the time for him to do this
Well if you put it that way. LOLOLOL,
His track record for truth about whether or not he’s running for something is not stellar. Well, to be honest, his track record for telling the truth about anything sucks. But this issue in particular he’s known for lying about.
This is a topic he is notorious for lying about. That’s why he’s not believable.
