Maybe if he had read the CDC report on gun violence, he would be more informed about bump stocks. Oh wait …
And once the looking is done they will sit back and do nothing as usual.
The country has such a bad case of Stockholm syndrome with the NRA and the GOP that if they actually go through with some legislation on this I fear they’ll look “heroic” for taking this “stand”.
Paul Ryan was born to troll concern.
What a quandary for the NRA. Their MO after mass shooting events such as this one, is to go dark.
However the bump stocks are an easy target to let Congress act without dealing with more serious/significant gun control legislation. Meanwhile what happens through the silencer bill that was quickly moving through House committees?
For the NRA - any legislation is a SLIPPERY SLOPE and can’t be broached.
What is this evil entity - long-time masters of the GOP - to do?
“I didn’t even know what they were until this week…apparently this allows you to take a semi automatic and turns it into a fully automatic so clearly thats something that we need to look into.”
Horse shit. Maybe he hadn’t heard the specific term “bump stock” (I’m not sure I had either) but it’s simply not believable that he was unaware that there were devices and techniques to convert semi-automatics to fire like machine guns.

[/quote] As well as born a troll.
Mealy-mouthed right-wing bullshit—and it means that Congress will do squat.
I’m not so sure about “born.”
I don’t think we can rule out “hatched.”
ISIS: We are very disappointed.
RocketMan: I will not let this happen. Where is NRA/FOX/Alex Jones to allow this to happen? What will Amerika’s founding fathers think?
apparently
Well, it’s not like he’s in a position of responsibility or anything.
Anyone see this? rAyn is par of a group that call themselves the “Jedi Council.”
“The House Speaker has a longstanding friendship with Price, when they were part of a group of fiscal conservatives who called themselves the “Jedi Council” who would meet for weekly policy breakfasts and were considered to be close allies in Congress on economic issues.”

Second in the line of succession and he and his little friends like to pretend they are part of Star Wars?
How noble and brave of our GOP House leader to “look into” the enabling device in a single mass murder. I expect his investigation to lead to countless declarations of concern before quietly disappearing.
Thank you - I missed that (keeping that abomination of a bill off the floor.)
Big supporter? Dim Son.

Donald Trump, Jr. supports silencers on guns because it’s “a public health issue.”
Oh hell, yes, I am damn serious.
Oh yeah, you heard that right. He thinks it’s great because it “gets little kids into the game.” You know, we don’t want to hurt their little ears. Blow their little heads off while they sit in school, sure, but do not hurt their ears when you teach them to shoot.
Y’all this has made me crazy all morning.
The problem is that stupid is not painful for the person who has it. But, it’s very painful on the end that hears it.

Where’s he from? In our neck of rural America, everybody knows you need the conversion to make sure that deer is really dead…
What a damn wimp. Two days ago there was nothing we could do to regulate evil, it was too soon to talk about guns, and we needed to focus on cutting the taxes of the survivors. Now that the NRA has thrown him a bone, he pretends he did any legwork making this happen…and that he won’t slip in any poison pills.
“Fully automatic weapons have been banned for a long time, apparently this allows you to take a semi automatic and turns it into a fully automatic so clearly thats something that we need to look into before filing in the circular file.”
Fixed.
Also, /thats/that’s/.
I smell a smokescreen - watch Ryan send this off to committee, never to be heard of again during his term.
