Discussion: Paul Blasts Graham For Korean War Authorization: He’s ‘A Danger To The Country’

When Rand Paul calls out unhinged craziness he knows from whence he speaks.

Maybe they should reconsider the current AUMF which all but gives a carte blanche to bomb/drone strike anywhere in the world…

The current one is like giving Donnie a barrel of nitro and a lit sparkler…

I take back everything I’ve said about Rand Paul’s hair that looks like yard debris. He is right about Graham.

AFAIK, the Korean War never officially ended, so Graham’s action is redundant. Also, Rand Paul, the “big thinker” should have known that little factoid.

Great minds, indeed.

ETA: I’m not sure it was ever officially a “war” to begin with, but it was certainly an AUMF, or whatever they called it in the 50’s.

The whole N. Korean summit charade is just a pretext for saying – See? We tried diplomacy and now we have to invade.

How fucked up is the world when Rand Paul is correct and Tim Kaine wants to hand Donald Trump virtually unlimited power to wage war?

I hate that pig Rand Paul, who can’t even clean up his back yard, and I despise that prissy little closet case (and yes - I am enjoying insulting that venal, vindictive queen!) Lindsey Graham.
So pistols at thirty paces, gentlemen. And take some good advice: aim for the head.

Please don’t make me like Rand Paul.

Sen Paul is Grade A crazy but he is right here. Not that it makes a lick of difference. He is totally ineffective as a Senator.

At present you are a danger to our country if you are an elected official with an R after your name.

I’ll believe it if I see action. Rand Paul is just like Flake, McCain, and yes, Graham - a lot of hot air puffing himself up as a rebel, and then when it comes time to actually voting, he almost always goes with Trump’s desires. There’s a basic thing to always remember about the current Republican party - they are at their cores authoritarians, and authoritarians obey. If Trump demanded a blood sacrifice of their family, the aforementioned ® Senators might make some statements on TV about how they strongly disagreed with Trump’s new policy, ten minutes before slitting their children’s and grandchildren’s throats. [The media of course would fall over themselves talking about the brave Senators standing up to Trump’s desire for blood sacrifice even as they did it, but that’s a rant for another topic.]

“Lindsey Graham is a danger to the country by even proposing ideas like authorizing war with Korea, my goodness, so that should be something that is seen as naive and seen as something that really serious people shouldn’t even really be discussing,” Paul told CNN on Monday evening …

Senator Paul, you had my attention before you mentioned “serious people.” You are quite obviously not one of those serious people by virtue of your complicit enabling of Dotard T rumpp to destroy the founding principles of this nation. Because you are a complicit twit, i cannot take you seriously.

The man’s a physician and a Senator but struggles with the English language. I think he was trying to say that an AUMF is premature, not necessary and sends the wrong signals. His other effort, I think, was to say recent history, since WW2, has been filled with military failures for the USA. Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan all busts.

Isn’t it obvious? Paul is just grandstanding for the media. Remember, these guys aren’t saying what they believe. They’re saying what their dumbass political consultants think will help keep them in office. Paul was just taking a break from yard work.

Isn’t Rand violating some rule in the Senate that one Senator can’t talk trash about another Senator; especially a Republican Senator?

To bad your neighbor did not finish the job Rand:)

I really cannot understand Graham’s logic in timing, period.

But this is Lindsay jumping the shark in trying to bring the focus back to him. When this settles, I presume he will draft the paperwork to surrender to North Korea and release it to get that attention again.

Paul has the lowest Trump support score of any Republican senator – about 71 percent. The most Trump-supporting Democrat is 61 percent. So-called moderate Susan Collins is over 80 percent.
