The patient groups signing on to the statement were the American Cancer Society, the Cancer Action Network, the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, JDRF, March of Dimes, the National Organization for Rare Disorders, the National MS Society and WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease.

This bill is even worse for patients. No wonder the Trump GOP like it.
Aren’t all of us who have ever needed medical treatment for anything by a doctor or at a hospital de facto members of a patient group. It’s a sad thing to have to organize for the right to have health care
The state waivers should scare the hell out of everyone. Let’s remember that 19 states, virtually all in the South and Midwest refused to expand Medicaid under the ACA even though the Federal Government was covering the cost. The Repuglicans in charge of those states had absolutely no interest in providing better medical care to the indigent. What makes any sane person think they will help people with pre-existing conditions and/or catastrophic illnesses if their state can easily get a waiver.

As Americans, we would be absolute fools to accept such provisions.
We need to talk the press into exploring the latest amendments. Enough of this horse race coverage. Just the facts, just the facts.
