Discussion: Pastor Apologizes To Congregants 'Hurt' By Decision To Pray Over Trump On Stage

“… when we don’t have the liberty of deliberation, so we do our best to glorify God.”

When in doubt, I would think the good pastor would do what Jesus would do.

“The White House had apparently requested that the pastor pray for Trump,”

Where’s religious freedom?

"I love every member of this church, and I only want to lead us with God’s Word in a way that transcends political party and position, heals the hurts of racial division and injustice, and honors every man and woman made in the image of God. "

That’s BS. Why not pray for the 13 people murdered in your state? Why did Trump need more prayers than the deceased after that tragedy?

There appears to be a small crack in the dam. May it widen…bigly.

Amen.

And what’s with the “pastor” in a Polo shirt? And something tells me he doesn’t have a jet. Loser!

Kick the grifter out of the church?

Good thing that trump’s fingers are too small to plug the hole in the dam.

Perhaps it is just me, but the notion of a “stage” in a church is irreverent.

This is pretty big assumption that he didn’t pray for the shooting victims as well. But what I find hard to believe is that a visit from the President was just sprung on him, leaving him no time to deliberate.

I could have fun praying over the miserable sinner that is unworthy of God’s presence due to his lustful and adulterous ways, who has oppressed the fatherless and the widows and traveled the road of violence and sin, whose mind is darkened by pride, may God smite him in his mercy.

I think he could reject that requst simply by saying that after the tragedy he didn’t want politics involved.

God heard the prayer and she is pissed.

A president, a pastor and a PR moment.

The perfect grift. Does it get any better!

It was awful nice of him to grace the congregants with his post golfing body odor and sweaty clothes. Another day, another wtf.

The decision to politicize his church was already made long before. If he had chosen to make his church non political then the decision is easy. I wonder how many poor decisions he makes because he hasn’t had time to deliberate. What if an opportunity to steal money presents itself and he doesn’t have time to deliberate? Or what if a really hot woman offers him an adulterous relationship? Poor guy can’t be expected to just decide these things on the spot.
