I get the feeling that someone must have explained to Mangiante that an extensive examination of her contacts and activities might not be an unalloyed joy.
When you have a mob boss as a President, FBI and law enforcement are shady individuals targeting people with an agenda and criminals are the stand up guys.
P.S. Simona, the FBIâs agenda was to put your husband in jail because he was a crook. Thatâs what they do.
HmmmmmâŚmust have figured out that there will be no pardon forthcoming for Covfefe Boy.
I guess he had figured it was one of those fishing holes where the pardons just jump into the boat.
Yeah, like he had a choice. He pled guilty voluntarily and on the record in open court, and nothing has changed in the facts or law since his plea.
Thereâs a strong legal principle that applies in such circumstances: No Backsies.
âGeorge will take responsibility for some inaccuracies during the interview with the FBI,â Mangiante Papadopoulos told ABC News on Wednesday,
Maâam, with all due respect, please shut up already.
He lied, and the FBI caught him dead to rights.
I could never figure out if these were Papadopoulosâs views or those of his unhinged wife. How do you uncooperate after youâve already cooperated?
George Papadopoulos, has decided to stick with the plea deal he reached
with the federal government over charges of lying to the FBI
Good.
âGeorge will take responsibility for some inaccuracies during the interview with the FBI,â Mangiante Papadopoulos told ABC News on Wednesday, saying she is hopeful her husband will not receive jail time, despite prosecutors gunning for at least six months behind bars.
Actually, I think the memorandum to the court about the plea deal called his âinaccuraciesâ deliberate misdirections that allowed a key witness (âthe professorâ) to leave US jurisdiction. And the agreement was for Mueller to send the memorandum requesting 0 to 6 months to the judge - itâs up to the judge to decide if 6 months is too much - or not enough.
A great non-story. George might not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but heâs not totally dumb.
I knew these 2 clowns (Mangiante and Papado) would realize after the Manafort conviction that no one will out run Robert Mueller, especially low hanging fruit perps like them. I think Papado is going to get jail time, and if the judge takes what the OSC said in their sentencing memorandum seriously, he will get more than 6 months. I have a real problem with Reality Winner serving 5 years when what she was trying to do was to expose Russian interference and guys like Papado, who are traitors, get no jail time for being disloyal to the country and covering up for Russian stooges and agents. She should get 6 months and he should get 5 years.
I think he pleaded guilty. I think âpledâ is a misuse of the word. The Oxford dictionary says it is the past and past participle of âplead,â but I think itâs only the past participleâthe use of it as the past tense is more sloppy English. Like â2 times moreâ instead of twice.
Rant over. Sorry to inflict it on you, but you were there. Or here. Whatever.
Yes, and thatâs what gave me pause about the article. Papadop himself hasnât actually waffled or wavered at all. Itâs been his in the media pleading for him to do so. Itâs all still so very strange to me.
While reading a Charles Bukowski book Papadopoulos reached a passage where Henry Chinaski states, âMany a good man has been sent under the bridge by a womanâ and realized that maybe he shouldnât be following his wifeâs direction, after all.
âYou have to bait your hook behind a tree!â
Iâm guessing they had what we call a âcome to Jesus meetingâ with their lawyer who explained reality to them.
Thank goodness thatâs settled.
Now we can all sleep nights.
Judge, I fully take responsibility for âsome inaccuraciesâ that just happened to have occurred during my interview with the FBI. Through no fault of mine, Judge. Those Deep State Witch Hunt Angry Democrats, they are very shrewd and mean people and they totally tricked me into saying some inaccurate things, JudgeâŚ
He couldnât take his plea back and go to trial because once you have proffered, you cannot then testify contrary to any of what you proffered. Your proffer statements become admissible evidence in the event you should do so. So, one of the lawyers must have explained to La Papadopoulos that he could not go to trial and say âI never lied to the FBIâŚit was just some inaccuracies that they shrewdly got me to utterâŚâ
