For a long time the military refused to participate in the “army or jail” program. They loosened the requirements. That has worked out well.
The last place a kid with alcohol problems should be is in the military.

Bingo! I do not doubt Track is grappling with PTSD, but couple that with the near-total dysfunctional Palin family and you’ve got a lot of other (Mommy & Daddy and how he was raised) issues. What he saw at home while a youngster helps to shape his responses to the very real PTSD condition. Track has a very long double-wide road to walk. I feel for him–I really do–but he needs to basically disown his family and work on himself. He needs to extricate himself from the Palin Drama Machine.

Tracks Military Occupation Specialty was 11B, Infantry and although he deployed he saw no combat and thus has no Combat Infantry Badge (CIB)
Not what this old soldier would call a “Combat Vet” by any stretch of the word.

McCain was flying a very dangerous mission (Even if it was to bomb a light bulb factory) flying low over enemy territory where there was AAA and AAM activity. His plane was shot down and he fell badly injured into a fucking LAKE inside of a city.
How the fuck does anyone denounce McCain for that?

Complete and utter BS. He did not serve in a combat role. He is a substance abuser and has been for years. The reason he went to Iraq was because he was given a choice jail or service for cutting gas lines on school buses.
