Those who burn people will also burn even more people who have no books left to burn.
Since the militant right-wing Israelis dominate policy and the dialogue, I fail to see any solution there. Until Israel’s moderates gain control and seek a peace agreement, Israel has no moral authority. Until then, it’s just evil versus evil, savagery begets savagery. I curse all religions and the retarding effect they have on civilization.

I’m old enough to remember the partition of Israel.
It was a current events topic in Jr High School and in news magazines.
Montgomery said that the Israelis and Arabs would fight for 50 years. That was in 1949. He was an optimist.
Over the years I’ve met Israelis who referred to the people of Palestine as “sand niggers”. That’s not a perception of those people that lends itself to reconciliation.
On the other hand, it’s clear that those in Palestine live this fantasy of Israel going away. That won’t happen soon.
