Discussion: Palestinian Officials: Cease-fire Made With Israel

Discussion for article #226866

Giving peace a chance?

Nope. Just need to tune the mower and sharpen the blade before mowing the lawn again in another few years.

Wot, no all-out war?

Aunt Lindsey will be so disappointed. He was looking forward to entertaining the troops.

“Israeli strikes have destroyed or severely damaged more than 17,000 Gaza
homes, according to United Nations estimates, leaving about 100,000
people homeless.”

How many of those homeless are now pissed off enough to become terrorists?

I have the feeling that the killing of al Ghoul, their money man, may be key.

Yes, the side with the $200 sugar bombs and $5 Molotov cocktails, and the side with the $15 million dollar jet fighters, AWACS, satellites, laser-guided missiles, and the U.S. Senate in it’s pocket have reached a cease fire agreement. And no doubt just in the nick of time for the poor besieged Israelis, who by now must feel on the verge of being run out of Palestine on a rail.

I hope it holds.I heard a report say it would take 15 years just to get Gaza where it was before the bombing and that is not saying very much.

Netanyahu should be in the Hague.

I’m totally loving how even the resident Zionist apologists are avoiding these threads like the plague lately. 10 destroyed homes they can explain away. 10,000, not so much.

How do we trust the terrorists that have decimated the homes of 100,000 and killed 2000…The IDF must have taught the Ferguson cops overkill…They are acting alike and to be shunned and shamed…

The destruction is apocalyptic .the zionists have destroyed the infrastructure and businesses of Gaza…We better not give the zionists one dime till they rebuild what they have destroyed with the US congresses help!.

Neither side is blame free. I believe that violence begets more of the same. and after a while (say 4000 years) it gets into your DNA and you don’t need a reason to hate.

Before 1948 there had been 500 years of peaceful coexistence between the various peoples here, Jews, Arabs, Druze and Christian. The violence started with the large influx of European Jews in the 1930’s.
