Discussion: PAC Runs Natl Ad Slamming Trump For Quotes About Women (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #247364

The Republicans running the ad, however, didn’t have a problem with the quotes until Drumpf got close to the nomination.

Note to self: Do not be a pathologically attention-seeking vulgar sexist lout for entire life and then seek high political office.

Looks like it’s time for another DT uptick in the polls. Just trying to figure out how many more nimrods there can be out there.

Bring it. Exactly the ad the Dems should run in the general. Bring it, Reince!

I’m trying to remember if in the past there’s ever been a political ad exhorting people to vote against somebody. The hatred in America’s gut for drumpf is becoming palpable.

I couldn’t see the whole thing because ever since the comments section problems started happening (weeks ago for some of us), my computer–or something–stops the video after about 5 seconds.

That said, these types of ads might be even more effective if males of all ages (but particularly those under 30) were in front of the camera reading off the many nasty quotes of Donald Trump.

And I thought Hillary was going to have a tough time with oppo. advertising!

Also kinda nice the GOP is doing all the work for them —

Packer told TPM in an email that the ad is “part of a 7-figure existing buy”
that will run through Tuesday nationwide.

$1M+ fewer ® dollars spent attacking (D)s.
I want the ® primary season to last until July.

I argue it is far better the GOP is running this. It strips away the usual deflections that this is simply liberal Democrats running a “hit piece”.

Romney, Cruz, Roboto and others have already given us tons of raw footage and pull quotes.

More of this GOPers.

I think it would be more effective to actually hear or see Trump making those statements. Having women read them makes them less emotionally effective IMHO. His voice sounds so crude and arrogant it gets the message across at a very basic level.

After hearing or seeing him say those things, THEN show the women saying “This is how DT talks about your mother, etc…”

Yup…they’ve dug it all up and tried it…and it has worked really really well so far. Can’t you see how his status in the polls is plummeting?

The most frightening question is this: Will he be able to fool enough “independents” and “centrists” to cobble together 50.1% of the electoral college? More and more people are waking up, but at the same time, more and more clueless bigots love the fact that this guy says what they truly feel (previously behind closed doors) and now says it in public forums.

They are thrilled that he has slain the “political correctness” beast and given them permission to vent their inner ID in large crowds of their fellow mongers. It’s OK to sucker punch people. It’s OK to tell people you think are Jews go “Go back to Auschwitz,”, it’s OK to believe that a third of all the world’s Muslims are radicals (and for not a few, that figure is 100%.)
It’s OK to view police highly questionable shootings, beatings and Taserings of unarmed individuals as “keeping me safe.”

And it is OK to beat up people you think are “the other,” because USA USA USA.

This may sway a small number of undecideds. However, his base will make it a rallying point.

Substitute Mexicans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, people of color or progressives and you have the Drumpth Doctrine!

Really? That is exactly what negative advertising is. Its been a political tactic as long as I can remember.

I think the noted inventor is referring to the fact that the ad doesn’t endorse anyone else even tacitly, I don’t remember that either.
