I’m reminded of a line from the great George Carlin.

“By this logic Attila the Hun had an active outdoor lifestyle.”

PA Rep: “[A] white nationalist…is quite a bit different from a white supremacist.”

You say white nationalist; I say white supremacist.

You say separatist; I say racist.

You say tomato; I say STFU.

PA State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R):

It was an email put out alleging that somebody was a white nationalist, which is quite a bit different from a white supremacist.

At least he took off his pointy white hat for the hearing.

So the difference is what? He’s not wearing his hood that day?

Look.Vandervoort is in my database. He has his OWN FUCKING ENTRY on Right Wing Watch. Go look at it. Vandervoort’s big hobby horse is forcing people to learn English but that’s not all. When he was in charge of it, the newsletter American Renaissance was running articles about the declining influence of white people in this country and the increased number of non-whites.

For ‘just’ a white nationalist, he sure was chummy with folks the Council of Conservative Citizens, which is a Southern racist organization. There are others. But trying to claim that Vandervoort is a white nationalist and not a white supremacist is like saying an Oreo is not a cookie.

Well, this is the first I’m hearing about this crap. I can tell you with a heavy heart that this is a big part of why I ask people not to bash entire states, in particular those in the south and west, when the stuff you don’t like is really caused more by a particular faction than everyone in the state without exception. I was recently redistricted and my relatively sensible rep was replaced by a slightly less sensible one. I will write to Mr. Less Sensible and tell him this is bullshit, but I don’t know how much good it will do. If this does pass I assume the governor, who is very sensible, will veto it. Un-believable. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

"To say somebody is a nationalist and for the independence of their country and a patriot to defending their country, is a lot different from saying somebody is a racist." -- Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R) Pennsyltucky.

Why, yes, Grand Wizard, it is quite different to say someone is a nationalist versus a racist. That’s why you deliberately chose to describe him as a nationalist and not as a racist. You’re like the fattest hog in the pig pen trying to hide behind a fence post.

Must declare, it’s just so refreshing to read up on the considered views of our owners, as they gaze down upon us from the safety of the front portico of the main cotillion room in the bosoms of their famiilies and the warm admiring cover fire of their comrades in power. So gleamy.

“For whoever said the man was white to begin with, that person was actually the racist – tying his skin color to his patriotism and what he stands up for for his country.”

This is my favorite conservative meme: If you point out racism, that makes you a racist,

A racist is a racist is a racist. Regardless, of the wrapping. Be it white sheet and hood, or tin foil hat!

Kansas is no where big enough. Let’s do Texas. They don’r want us anyway. Our federal dollars, yes. Our Constitution other than Amendment Two, not so much.

Oh, and it would have the added benefit of saving money on Trump’s wall.

You guys in PA also seem to have a problem with the AG and porn email, suspension of her law license and the possible inability to even continue in the office though she’s seeking re-election. Rachel had a good piece about her yesterday.
