Other Topic… GumGum AI Ad firm TPM uses… now seeing ads placed on top of one another 3, 4, 5 deep. Then when I click the “X” to delete so that I may read the page/story another pops up, that one being a text statement about the “ad experience”. One that popup the “X” is disabled and the only way I could go on was to delete the TPM site. Seems TPM has gone back to the days of so many pop up ads that people stopped visiting the site. TPM, this is your one and only warning as my next move will be to stop visiting, PERIOD.
PS: for the use an ad blocker… why should I be forced to do so, all that does in encourage the GREED.

Inhad same problem using safari. I wrote and they suggested i use firefox. So i got firefox and put tpm on as a favorite-readily available. No more pop up ads. Might also try clearing your history in your browser.

Just 26% of eligible voters in America voted for Trump, and over half of all eligible voters just stayed home in 2016. Today’s 16-year old’s will be voting for President in 2 years. Are they ready?
Run for Mayor, City Council, County Commissioner, Borough Assembly. Get appointed to your Planning Commission. Know everything going on in your community.
Run for State Legislature or Congress. The next census is in 2020 when we redraw Congressional Districts. Stop the GOP-led gerrymandering that keeps Gohmert and King in office!

I don’t think he’s capable of masochism. He loves himself too much ever to do that consciously. I think he’s simply doubling down on his 2016 messages because he has nothing else. He dimly perceives that he fucked up health care reform, though he blames others for “selling him a bill of goods,” or some such shit. On the border, despite the horrors he has already inflicted, his only response is more horror.
He’s the kind of monster who would set up concentration/liquidation camps Nazi-style if he could get away with it. He is the most immoral and lawless excuse for a human being ever to occupy the office of the presidency, No one else comes even close.

But there it is. And that image was just getting into Mexico from Guatemala. That family made it to the US. ON FOOT mind you. And trump insults them by calling them former UFC fighters meaning they’re scary ugly and ready to rape and pillage. And don’t mind it when we steal those 3 kids from their mom.
I will never forgive trump for his deliberate and calculated cruelty.

I live in a college town, which is pretty blue–we’ve had Democratic mayors for a many terms. I’d like to see the rural areas realize just how badly the Republicans are screwing them over and start to question their knee-jerk Republican vote. Optimistic, I know.

Didn’t want to get into it in my earlier post (old emotions) … about ten years ago I was going out for the early Sunday morning ride, dozen bagel/cream cheese NYT ritual. Standalone bagel place next to a standalone thrift shop. Drove around back to park. Coming out the back door of the thrift shop at the same time was a family (like in your picture) with two young children. Apparently they lived upstairs in the shop and were all dressed up for Sunday mass. The mother was fixing her daughter’s dress. She looked up and noticed I was starring. Then looked hard at me, standing proud with her family. There was nothing I could say or do as they walked down to the bus stop. Even today, right now, it is hard not to shed a tear or two, remembering that moment.

You alread know, most likely, that I live close by the Mexican border. I should relate that I spent 3 years living in southern Mexico … in a small village near San Cristobal, Chiapas State. I am all too familiar with poverty both there and here in Tucson.
There was a Southwest Key facility that held kids separated from their families not a mile from where my home is so this story is basically in my lap… And as I have said numerous times I cannot forgive trump’s deliberate and premeditated cruelty to children. If anyone in this world deserves some nasty karma it is him. I admit to hoping he strokes in such a way as to maintain his cognitive abilities but ruins his ability to communicate. No more twitter rants or ego boosting rallies with the slobbering rubes. No more golf, no more enjoyment in just living. Much like President Wilson in the early years last century.

Something else I hope for is an indictment on a RICO/tax fraud charge laid in such a way that he is forced to forfeit every goddamned dime he has.
I was in a neighborhood bar during the campaign in 2016 and I recall that when trump’s image came on the TV over the bar a table full of Hispanic folks began chanting "PENDEJO!!, PENDEJO!! And it generated smiles around the room.
