Sometimes when my cats go outside at night, they meet up with other neighborhood cats. Loud shrieking and howling ensues. Not sure why that thought popped into my head when reading this story.

if BillO had any common sense, he WOULD have offended her. “Madam, you’re an idiot and thoroughly unfit to lead the nation, let alone the conservative cause. You are an embarrassment. Go back to Alaska and read some of those periodicals you claim that you read, let us know when you’ve learned something.”

Sarah Palin doesn’t articulate Republican ideas any better or worse than any other recent Republican candidate, so there has to be some other reason why so many Republicans regard her as a universal fail who wasted their time and money. Maybe it was career choice of professional Facebook personality over Governor of Alaska.

O’Reilly is illustrating how the GOP’s War on Battered Women works. Bet Palin never thought she would be a victim. Surprise, surprise. That’s what all those old white rich men would do to any Republican woman if they could get by with it. I’m surprised they haven’t gone after the GOP women in the House that forced Boehner to alter their abortion bill.

While Obama was/is in the White House, Palin fit their needs just fine. There were merely rejecting any and everything he does, usually peppered with as much vileness as they could fit in.
Now, however, they are looking to take the White House, and think they have a good chance (they always get emboldened by their mid term victories and totally ignore they win those with a tiny proportion of the population voting). Having an idiot braying loudly on their sidelines interferes with them presenting themselves as The Very Serious Party.
So they have no more use for her.

I seem to remember in the early days of O’Reilly on Fox, that he proclaimed he wasn’t a conservative constantly. That was part of his whole schtick…that he isn’t partisan…just very wise.
Fast forward today, and now he is offended for being called a quasi conservative because he is a real conservative?

I wish I could be a fly on the wall at Mrs. Palin’s house this week, while she’s being pilloried in the conservative press.
Remember that scene at the end of Dangerous Liaisons, where the letters get out and Glenn Close has the freakout? I bet it’s like that.

While this is all very entertaining - O’Reilly slapping her down, York panning her speech, the Daily Caller trying to chew its arm off the morning after - I would like to point out that all this is futile. Sarah Palin is yours, forever. She is the conservative ID, pure rightwing resin, and this perpetually victimized, know-nothing, lowbrow grifter is going to hang around your necks for the rest of your days.

Republicans now have a Latino problem and less than two years to solve it.
From the little I read on her Facebook page, what I read is that the more the “lamestream” media gets on her case they more they run to defend her and encourage her and tell her she’s the visionary and the rest are just picking on her.
My first clue that Fox news was not a legitimate news service was the hiring of Bill O’Reilly back in the 90s. They seemed to have been trying to position themselves as a serious cable news channel, so when they hired O’Reilly, I went, “Wait, the guy from Inside Edition? Hahaha. That’ll give you guys credibility!”
And I laughed and laughed and laughed.
I guess the joke was on me. Millions of Americans actually consider it real news.
I really do like watching O’Reilly interview some folks. I’ve seen him interview Palin twice and he walked her right into traps both times.Some of his interview subjects are smart enough to know when he is trying to do that. Palin isn’t. If she ever runs again,those interviews would be used against her over and over.
