Except that type of conservative does not get ‘irony.’ Critical thinkers, these guys are not.

“…our little kids are sitting at home when they should be in school.”

Good guys with guns protecting children by keeping them safe at home.

the last word should be “personnel”

Please read aloud what you wrote prior to submission, it’s an effective tool for catching mistakes.

Someone needs to tell those damned injuns to look up “White Privilege”. It only applies to the white folk.

As minorities, if the Native Americans want their land back, the police will be happy to shoot them.

I used to work in radio (sometimes news radio). The print medium today is so harried, what with 24/7-style gotta-be-first breathing down their necks. Sometimes, a deadline can lead to this. Also, I find the auto-correct function on most programs annoying … very much so, sometimes. Your suggestion of reading back is exactly what I would recommend.

if this is pushed hard against the pin-head ‘Let’s pretend we are a Militia’ folks - it will trigger an eruption from the faux militiamen of the most incredibly ugly bigoted vitriolic anti-native American rubbish you could imagine.

Poor Ammonia Bundy and his Band of Bozos…nobody loves them.

I typically edit by reading it out loud backwards. It breaks the words up from the sentences and you actually SEE the word. Works nicely.

One of the militias grievances is that they can’t ride their ATV’S on land considered sacred by the Indians, very dumb, but true.

Most folks think that the West Coast from San Diego to Sequim, WA. (I stayed there once, nice town.) Is very liberal and cobalt blue. But that’s it, it’s just the coast. But once you get beyond the Peninsular Range-Sierra-Cascades axis, politically, you might just as well be on a different planet. I spent much of my career working in the southern Great Basin area and I can tell you that a whole lot of the almost entirely white folks that live there get way more from the gubbmint than they give back, but to hear them talk, you’d think they were “pressed so hard they could not stand” and one step removed from living in a Wikieup in a Stalinist dystopia.

The people who have the best claim to the land want Vanilla ISIS to go home, along with everybody else. I think the Bundy gang has had its 15 minutes. They will go home as soon as the cameras leave town.

Thanks to Creationist thinkers at the Mt. Blanco Institute of Omniology, I think we’ve located the source of the radical conservative anger…they are tiny men, even by today’s corrupted standard…/s

I don’t know what is more ironic… A tribe of pale-faced flabby foreign jerk-offs masquerading as cowboys in cowboy hats, boots, spurs and cow shirts usually sold to tourists passing themselves off as sun hardened cattle ranchers or the Tribe of true Native landowners who actually respected the land and animals and resources that was taken from them by the likes of the pretend doofus landowners from God-knows-where.

I wish this would get more play. Although, to be honest, anything First Nations have to say is quickly dismissed by just about everyone.

Not too surprising… you go from college educated folks working in technology (and rich people with ocean views) to ranchers and farmers. Not two professions known for their progressive views.
