So:

Forced immunizations bad.

Forced births good.

Got it.

Today’s GOP, ladies and gentlemen, today’s GOP…

When vaccinations become political…

Nice part of that is that it will solve the problem of future Republicans, as there won’t be any reaching adulthood

If the Republicans want to ally with infectious diseases, that’s their prerogative.

Speaking as someone who grew up in and around children’s hospitals, I don’t wish what I experienced or what I witnessed on any of these idiots’ poor children, but if that’s what it takes … so be it. I’m sad their children have parents with such poor parenting and reasoning skills, but I’m pissed they are endangering so many others. I hope someday we can start holding them accountable.

Oregon House Bill 3427 – Education funding bill decreases personal income tax rates. Imposes 0.57% tax rate on in-state corporate activity > $1 million.

“Senate Republicans refused to show up for Tuesday’s scheduled floor session, denying Democrats the chance to vote on, and likely pass, a billion-dollar education funding bill that has been more than a year in the making.” - Statesman Journal

One might well wonder if the anti-vaccination push is in the same vein as the anti-abortion bandwagon. Abortion was identified years ago as an emotional wedge issue to keep people distracted so they won’t pay attention to the rabid conservative agenda. It was a cynical decision to take this approach, by people who could care less about the issue otherwise. All the people doing this stuff always have had access to, and utilized, abortions for their own family members as they deemed necessary. It would be interesting to see if any of the genesis of the anti-vax effort stemmed from these same people or their ilk. A cynical ploy to keep people distracted while they keep taking and not helping.

Yes to bearing arms, but no to baring arms.

Curious.

We reserve the right to spread disease to your unsuspecting families. Because freedom.

Reminiscent of the “Fluoride is a Communist Conspiracy to suck out our Precious Bodily Fluids!” campaigns in the 1950’s.

“Oregon Democrats were just joking about ‘my body, my choice’ while rammimg [sic] forced injections down every Oregon parent’s throat,”

Well, no. I’m pretty sure that the injections would be in the arm.

It shouldn’t require this controversy for people to know avoiding children is generally a good idea.

Honestly, I wouldn’t even legitimate the broken analogy that way. These things are fundamentally and starkly different.

Pregnancy and abortion decisions are matters of personal health and autonomy. Having an abortion effects NOBODY in a medical or health-care manner but the mother and the fetus.

Vaccination and herd immunity are matters of dire import to public health and safety and the decision not to vaccinate or immunize has the potential to effect everyone DIRECTLY.

These shitheads are yet again proving that they couldn’t construct an apt analogy/comparison if their lives depended on it…and when it comes to vaccinations, their lives and the lives of countless others very well could depend on it.
