I couldnât agree more. It was a wonderful, rousing, heartfelt, passionate speech, doesnât mean she or anyone else who gives a similar speech wants to run for office. Why should she? Sheâs got the life she wants, and it would invite hoards of anonymous and invisible mouth breathers to come out and trash her. Weâre looking too hard for a savior. It wonât be Oprah.

Yep, but the brain-dead media are stoking this story about her Presidenting this morning all based on one speech. They still havenât learned a fucking thing. Liking something someone says on TV doesnât mean that person should be President of the United States. The media continues to be a stupid, infotainment-focused appendage of the greater media environment, but it hasnât served us well as a country. That much they should have learned by now. The real question is how many honest true journalists and reporters will fall for this type of stunt again.
What shocks me is the number of reasonably sane people who are jumping on the Oprah-for- President bandwagon. She can give a rousing speech (although her original sincerity seems to have been replaced with self-important screaming as of late) and has made a lot of $$, but that doesnât make her presidential material.
