He continued: “They feel very guilty. But it’s fine. I understand that. I think they have to register a year in advance and they didn’t. So Eric and Ivanka, I guess, won’t be voting.”
According to New York’s Board of Elections, mail-in registrations to vote were due March 30 for the April 19 primary.
- The doofus doesn´t know when people have to be registered for a primary he´s running in?
- His kids are 32 and 34, so it´s been a little more than a year ago that they could have registered.
- The man lies like breathing.
- Your father is running in the primary, and you forget to register.
- Your father is running in the primary, and you forget to register.
and they were, you know, unaware of the rules
Kinna like their father?
Way to go Trumplings. Apparently political awareness is not a strong family value.
Trump: When I am president, I will allow same day registration all across the nation.
FOX/GOP: You mean only if you are a registered republican.
Trump: Of course.
Trump never even bothered to instill the idea of civic duty in his kids and now he wants to be president. More proof the whole thing is just a game to him.
Have they ever registered to vote? Probably not. Pinnacles of GOP citizenship to be sure.
Perhaps they are registered democrats?
Unfair! Voter fraud!
That would be hysterical. Someone should get right on that.
As they were both, to my understanding, born to foreign born women, they’re probably just not voting because they’re anchor babies. Undoubtedly they’re going to self deport after the election.
You had me at “unaware.”
Yes…but: in the world those young adults live those excuses are valid. They haven’t been taught taking responsibilities for their failings is something they have to do. Their lives don’t work like that. And the man that’s their father wants to lead this country with the same values.
As a New York resident, let me clarify:
March was the deadline if you were registering as a first-time voter.
If you wanted to change parties, or enroll in one for the first time, the deadline was a week before the general election in November last year.
I’ve never been a party member. It’s entirely possible that his kids are not either, or are registered as Democrats and can’t switch.
It says a lot about the Trumps. My son was disappointed that he misses his first vote at this election by a year and 11 days. He figured it out last year. These guys are in their 30s, and their dad´s running. It boogles the mind.
Man, those are some messed up rules.
I bet they are registered…as Democrats! The deadline to CHANGE party affiliation was last year. I imagine they rarely vote anyway, and figured dad would never still be in the race!
They sure weren’t the only ones!
Maybe they didn’t want to vote for their father in the primary or didn’t think his campaign would still be going strong at this point.
Or didn’t realize or make it a priority.
Or maybe they wanted cover for not doing so.
I can only imagine what it is like to grow up having Trump for a father, here I assume a lot of the same traits we see him display as presidential candidate were on full display and woven into their developing minds.
Much the same as any parent does when raising their kids.
I’m sure it’s been done but I’m asking anyway…
anyone check pappy’s and evil step-mom’s registration?
