Jeez Lou-ise! These clowns claimed they were prepared to hunker down for years if need be. They said they expected the occupation to last for at least several months. Despite all that, they didn’t even bring enough supplies to last several days. This guy wants to go home to his herd of cows and kids after less than a week. The selfish jackass would rather make his wife a widow and leave his children fatherless than spend some much deserved time in jail for breaking federal law. And yet no one saw any of this coming? Never mind talking about the Negro, let’s talk about the entitled white male militia men who think they’re entitled to do whatever comes to mind and without facing any consequences.
Maybe he has just been watching too many old movies where the guys stand there with their guns pointed at each other, jawing about Truth, Justice and the American Way. Rather than reality where they point their guns at you and if you try to point a gun at them they pull the trigger.
And sanctimonious bullshit it would be. I’ve been to the Valley Forge Nat’l Park (in winter, no less). Washington and his troops were much better prepared for their stay than the Bundy wanna-bes are prepared for a January in central Oregon.
And while I’m at it, I wish people would quit referring to this as an “occupation of a Federal Building.” Yeah, that is syntactically correct (the Malheur NWR is a building and it is owned by the Department of the Interior) but it’s semantically wrong. A Federal Building (like the Murrah FB that McVeigh blew up) is a big office building owned by GSA. The space is shared among multiple Federal agencies. These bozos occupied the visitor’s center and HQ complex for a wildlife refuge.
Well, after all is said and done, they should all end up being convicted felons. That means no guns allowed in their homes. Probably a fate worse than death for these ammosexuals.
How ironic. Congress just outlawed the labeling of American-grown beef, to avoid trade sanctions. But listening to these MooJawHadeen wannabes sort of makes me wonder whether Mexican beef ranchers might be sensing an opportunity. Would the WTO really care if we labeled “gun-toting-freeloading-wannabe free” beef?

OK, they’re making an absolute nuisance of themselves, but I’m glad it sounds like the feds and Sheriff have put them into perspective. Indisputable that they’re trespassing on federal property by breaking into the visitors station and bringing firearms into a federal sanctuary. On the other hand, they ‘occupied’ a building that was closed, during a season when no one would be visiting it anyway… a bird sanctuary in the middle of January when it’s -11 F at night.
Unfortunately, there’s no federal law banning extreme derpitude. While I do want them to be jailed for their own protection, I’d prefer my tax dollars going toward gun regulation enforcement than paying god knows how much money on a federal trial and incarceration. The trial would only give them more attention and waste more government energy when we have bigger problems. Ugh.
