On the more troll ridden sites, they go thru great pains to explain that Gruber was calling librul voters stupid. So, to boil it down, the Teabaggers are into another hissy fit because Gruber called libruls stupid ?

I so pity the poor soul who was forced to watch that much Fox News in order to count the mentions of Gruberâs name. Fortunately, the Affordable Care Act of which Gruber spoke so inarticulately will allow that individual to receive care for whatever damage watching that much Fox may have inflicted upon them.

Conservatives were already opposed to the law. The only possible group of âstupid votersâ was anyone on the fence. Gruber could only have been referring to other democrats.

I donât recall a referendum on the ACA, so I donât think that this went to voters in anything but the really abstract sense. The concerns that Iâve heard are mostly around the PR/attack machine exposure. So, âdonât word X in a way that it will be portrayed as a âtaxâ since thatâll just result in the usual âTHEYZ RAISING YOUR TAXES!!!ââ sort of stuff. And in that sense, itâs right given how broken our media is (âDEATH PANELS!!!â, or âTHEYâRE GOING TO CUT YOUR MEDICARE!!!â anyone?)
Iâm looking at the graph and see no explanation. Why are they obsessed? The graph doesnât tell me why, it just demonstrates that they are. Not trying to be pedantic, but nothing about that chart gives me any insight into why the GOP behaves the way they do, just that they demonstrably do so.
