Outside her event, protesters weren’t buying. Wearing Trump shirts, they snapped selfies with former Massey Energy Co. chief executive Don Blankenship, who was recently sentenced to a year in prison for conspiring to violate safety standards at the Upper Big Branch mine, where 29 miners died in a 2010 explosion.
So this guy gets 29 of your own killed skirting safety rules to line his own pocket and you want to get selfies with him? WTF?
Socially liberal/fiscally conservative doesn’t get you anything in places where people have been pushed back down Maslow’s needs hierarchy so that basic needs are topmost in their mind. Go ahead, Hillary, tell them how wonderful “free trade” is and how immigrants are just doing the jobs “no American wants”.
I didn’t realize that the issue in appalachia was that immigrants were taking their mining jobs, thank you for clarifying that. I’d incorrectly assumed that it was the Free Market that was causing decreased coal demand due to cheaper, cleaner, natural gas being abundantly available. Silly me, I guess that we should be blaming brown people for all of that.
