Discussion: Omar’s Most Frequent Attacker Zeldin Sets His Sights On Her Again After Miller Insult

Agree on all points. And I think if O’Rourke could start to dazzle the way he dazzled in Texas, I’d sleep easier at night.

That would be antisemitism according to Jewish Defense League, AIPAC and other right wing Jewish groups.

I believe one of the prime reasons AOC is popular is that many many Dems and other Americans are sick and tired of the same-o, same-o “mainstream” thought coming from people like Biden. We may not agree with AOC at times and she can be awkward but she is offering ideas. Ideas we have seemed to be afraid to even voice. We are tired of the attitude that “we can do nothing”, “we don’t have the wherewithal to succeed”, etc. What has happened to the American can-do attitude. If we don’t even try we have already failed.

What is the Tena take on “Mayor Pete?” I’m for Beto, too, but Pete has had a really good couple months, and he’s an uber-impressive candidate. He’s got Fox News all up in arms, too, I saw somebody yesterday going on about how his father was a wild-eyed radical–as if you could be a wild-eyed radical as a Notre Dame English prof!

So far, among the Democratic candidates, my vote is for Mayor Pete.

Oh I bet you could. There’s no end to what English profs can get away with; drop any of them down at any point in the canon and there’s always radical reading for the syllabus.

I meant GOPers, I see I left that out.

I lost my faith in that organization some time ago. They dropped the ball badly on these racial/religious divisions that have seeped into our governance… They had an opportunity to step up loudly and clearly to remind people that not everything is innocent, nor is every statement meant “as spun” by people like Trump, or by Fox.

Greenblatt puts some teeth into his messaging now and then, but he appears to be playing a ridiculous ‘balancing act’ game. Doesn’t want to upset the balance or have the powers that be upset at the ADL.

It’s almost as if they, like too many other watchdogs and civil organizations, fear the repercussions of the Trump presidency turning on them, should they be too directly critical.

ThIs is a reality of the current situation. Fear. If you’re a small organization under attack from a bombastic president, who will go on the offensive, calling you out by name, and telling his Sturmabteilung and frothy “rally crowds” all about how heinous you are. And just like that? Hate mail, death threats, your children’s vitals posted online…

Yeah, it happened in Germany in the 30s too (the intimidation tactics. Sans internet of course). Good citizens kowtowed and fearful of repercussions said nothing. Spoke quietly. A few high-profile examples of “what happens when you don’t tow the line” were made public, and that was that…

When an organization like the Anti-Defamation League doesn’t stand up and loudly call out Trump’s words, behavior and attitude for what it is, I know we’re losing that battle.

We need to be loud and fearless with the truth. It’s a great weapon, properly wielded.

Zeldin’s hypocrisy is unlimited. Sebastian Gorka hosted his kick-off fundraiser for midterms. Same Gorka who wore Vitzie Rend medal to Trump inauguration. Zeldin was also on Gorka’s radio show “America First” to discuss anti-Semitism. Search for “Gorka” on Hungarian Spectrum or Lobe Log for background on Gorka’s history of anti-Semitism.

Oh yea. At the Gorka fundraiser Zeldin ejected a local reporter from Smithtown Matters who he had invited and who wore his press credentials. And he defended Trump’s comments on Charlottesville. Please… don’t get me started

We have Jewish nazis in Amerikkka.
