No offense to the Olympics, which I love, but I really don’t want it on our shores. It costs so much, it leaves so many displaced, and in this day of terrorist threats and other forms of unhinged violent attacks, some of which have no rhyme or reason behind them, having it here only brings more problems they solve. I also don’t like the whole idea of the one-upmanship way every Olympic opening and closing ceremony is put together now, from the last Olympic we all just saw. Its getting tiresome to see that to some degree. I sorta expect that the next they’ll be lighting the Olympic Cauldron from Space somehow. Plus, the whole thing will end up being under an incredible police state. Like everything else gone haywire in this country, commercialism has ruined it for me. The value of pure sport no longer is valued unless it can be monetized into outrageous sums somehow. The tickets alone will probably keep many from being able to attend as well.
Just an opinion…
On the other hand, I could be dead by then, in which case, disregard.
