Haven’t decided whether to rejoice about this or not. Been waiting for someone to get rid of Ralph Hall for over a decade now, but he is being replaced by someone even worse. Only consolation is the new guy will enter with now seniority so will have no actual power, unlike Hall, who has devastated the Science committee for years.

Ratcliffe won’t actually deliver on what his money men say he will or even try to, but it sounds good as a “send money” pitch. Emotions aside, people must eventually retire, but it’s too bad Hall didn’t know what time it was.

For a bunch of guys that seem to hate that “communist” in the white house, the Teabag Party sure loves to engage in Permanent Revolution.

None of their sacred cows is ever conservative enough, because they’re TAINNNNNNNNNNTEDDDDD by their exposure to That Moral Sewer And Corrupting Cesspool in D.C.

And thus, they always have another wackadoodle, waiting in the wings.

It’s Texas. Congressman Ratshit will soon be a scary reality.

In Texas he was sitting on a bad egg. It took chicken little to move him. The Frank Lautenberg of the House.

Good riddance Ralph. That district is red as a cherry, so Ratcliffe is pretty much elected now, but as was mentioned previously, now the district won’t have all the seniority that Ralph was able to save when he flipped to the Republican side of the aisle that he earned when he was in Congress as a Democrat.

He lost because he had 1 shred of decency left in him.

Hall was a 34-year incumbent prior to losing

How sad for all of us that the phrase “34-year incumbent” even has meaning in our country.

He’s not “pretty much” elected now; he’s literally elected now. The winner of the Republican primary will be running unopposed in November. There is no Democrat on the ballot.

Big whoop. Trading in the old version for the latest model with the shiny new white sidewalls, but the same inherent defects, is still not what I call much of an improvement. Hair Club for Growth endorsed this new guy…It is Tex-ass after all, so what did anyone really expect?

It’s a live boy/dead girl thing. Some scandal could still drive him off the ballot. But yeah, as you said, there’s not a Democrat on the ballot this year.
