This time they want to steal it without getting caught.

You can get half a dozen wireless cameras and a DVR for less than $500. Or go smaller and cheaper. They could have done a minimal job with the recommended security improvements and just passed the hat at a city council meeting to pay for it.

Ray Britt, a Bladen County commissioner who served as the board chairman until earlier this month, said in an interview that security improvements were unnecessary.

“We’ve never had any problems,” said Britt, a Republican.

You never had any problems in the past because everyone knew the fix was in.
It’s a fucking door, how expensive could it be to fix a fucking door?

Maybe someone should go to the n’er do well’s home and get the locks off their front and back doors, “We’ve never had any problems.”

I’ve never yet had my car stolen, so I don’t see any problem with leaving the keys in the ignition.

Dodalmighty this is snark but in West St. Louis County different police departments have been begging the residents not to leave their cars unlocked while sitting in their driveways. To remove all valuables from their cars, and to please for the love of God close and lock your garage doors.
These are the same people who have those cameras and that “Ring Neighborhood” app. Several of the PD;s have posted videos of how these car burglars work.
And then there was the guy in Jefferson County, MO complaining about how his gun keeps getting stolen from his truck. Someone asked him does he not lock his truck? Can you guess what he answer was?

Legalized cheating…that is what this is. Everyone did it. But facts matter in the long run. If the people outside the scandal can look at the results and notice the oddity of it all…then it gets exposed. Love how facts matter…finally.

Actually I had a friend in college who drove an old beat-up station wagon which he never locked: “Poverty insurance”. Then one day it wouldn’t start, and it turns out someone had opened the hood and stolen a battery cable end, lol. Guess they didn’t want to walk six blocks to the AutoZone and spend less than $5.

All elections need to be taken away from Partisan election officials and overseen by a independent body. The problem isn’t voter Fraud, but Fraud committed at the county district level where clerks have access to ballots. No district voting place should be controlled by any political party. All polling workers need to be made up of independent individuals that are certified by the Federal government and are on a rotating schedule overseeing each voting district with different people not tied to the district, county or state.

Ray Britt, a Republican Bladen County commissioner, put it this way with a grin, “why fix somtin dat aint broke? This here’s North Carolina. We always steal elections, one way or anudder.”

You can nail the damn door shut for pennies. For a few pennies more, you can screw the f’ing door shut so you open it again should you need to.

In my neighborhood your friend could have stood in front of the open hood slowly waving the unhooked battery cable for a few minutes, and someone would come over to offer to sell your friend a used battery-cable clamp he happened to have for $2. It happened to me.
