A big intersection of politics and sports is how huge tax cuts on the rich are related to the giant contracts that cause cities to lose their favorite players to richer teams.
If we returned to tax rates of the 1950s, where the tax on the top layer of income was over 90%, it’s doubtful that players and agents would bother to ask for so much.
Has Olbermann covered this?

I really miss “Countdown” with Keith Olbermann. I used to structure my day around his broadcast. I took great delight in his skewering the GOP and Bush. I miss his take on things but I don’t miss his outsized ego That’s a characteristic both he and Billo share and it is becoming for neither of them.

Put Keith on HBO while John Oilver is on hiatus. Once a week is enough to get the good stuff out of Keith, and not enough time to let his rougher edges show. I do miss him.

Certainly seems to me that the facts don’t tie up with Bill O’Reilly’s version of things and that he may have been trying to either lie to, or intentionally mislead his audience.
I wonder whether there is a jock-loving college-going intern at his show that Bill O’Reilly is trying to impress.

Olbermann: Worst Person in the Wooooorld!
Democrats want flamethrowers like O’Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, et al, to throw the myriad lies back in the GOP’s face, but when someone like Olbermann comes along and does it, they get all queasy. Personally, I’d take Olbermann and his outsized ego any day of the week.

Oreilly is a fairytale about a myth, a figment of his own imagination. He’s a flute stroker that claims to be blowing trombones. Seriously, Bill Oreilly is a perverted, serial harasser, hot-headed, thin skinned jerk and proven liar.
