Discussion: OKLAHOMA DEMS TKTKTKTKTKT

Discussion for article #246700

This is good news for Senator Sanders. Much depends on the margin. OK seems to be doing the opposite most all the rest. Congrats, Senator!!

the two Dems left behind in Oklahoma, must’ve had a real good fist fight to decide it.

Good for the University of Oklahoma students for carrying the state for Bernie. Nice to see them have their priorities straight and reveal that there’s actual a bastion of liberalism in one of the reddest of all states. I’m proud of them.

Thats nice, now when is he dropping out.

I don’t see why he’d drop out when he’s still got 40 mil in the bank. Unless he wins only 3 states or less tonight, then it becomes dicey. But 4 states and it’s still a race.

You don’t win by winning states, you win by winning delegates. a 10 point win in Okalahoma means nothing to losing 30-50 points in 4 other states that are many times bigger.

And all the upcoming primaries are strongly favorable to Sanders to win a lot more delegates, he just has to survive Super Tuesday. He can do that by securing 4 states, but it will be a blow to not secure Massachusetts.

79% reporting, a two-digit spread. Not even close… thought it would be a much tighter race. Good for Bernie.

Uh, of the next states coming up on the horizon, he can secure ME & OR. That’s kinda it…

So, Sanders does well in states with very, very few African-Americans (Oklahoma: 7%).

Um…

Sanders is the King of the White People. Hail Sanders!

Especially Texas. Where he got routed.

I think Bernie will continue to haunt you beyond tonight.

Plus, low income white population there with whom Bernie’s message likely resonates, so this was one of those states Bernie had good chances… as such the result itself is not wildly surprising, but the margin is larger than I expected.

next election day
Kansas
Louisiana
Nebraska

He has a good shot at Kansas and Nebraska,
Clinton will likely win large in Louisiana,
Net delegate - even or plus Clinton

Next election
Maine - he has a good shot at winning, not many delegates at play though.

Next election
Michigan -Current polling Hillary up 20-30
Mississippi -Likely large win for Hillary

Next election
Northern Marianas - likely Hillary win or split delegate.

Next election
Florida -Current polling Hillary 25-35
Illinois -Current polling Hillary 20+
Missouri - no polling
North Carolina -hillary wins (my state)
Ohio -Hillary up but could be close

So where is Sanders going to catch up the math is just not on his side.

Oh i sure he will, more for his own ego then anything else though.

Is this a weak attempt to race bait?

I’d say Hillary is the Queen of the South, she owns the Southern states. Long live the Dixiecrats.

It’s sort of premature to say Sanders is exclusive to whites unless you consider the latinos that voted for him in Nevada white.

Why doesn’t he run for the Socialist Party nomination?

Look at the states he’s won. That’s just the way it is. I’m not making up the demographic appeal he has. And why are you bringing up the few Latinos in NV who voted for him?
