How the hell does someone with any reading comprehension “misinterpret” that? Also, typical non-apology “for those who were offended.” You were WRONG, Randy Brogdon – just admit you were very wrong to denigrate your fellow humans like that.
You and people like you, sir, seem to strive to be offensive. Seriously, this kind of analogy to your fellow human beings who are less fortunate than yourself? Oh, and please do not plead to me you are a devoutly religious man who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ! – That would be an affront to those who actually do take Christ’s teachings seriously and live by them.

The problem with a post like this is that the thinking is all skewed and forgets to take into account that humans have higher reasoning skills. An animal wants an easy source of food. A human wants more than just an easy source of food, but a feeling of accomplishment and work. While some humans may not be willing to engage in work for sustenance, they are the smallest of minorities. Given satisfying work, humans will work. Given satisfying work, animals will still go for the easy meal because they don’t know what the heck work is.
Basically, the OK GOP are saying that poor humans are unreasoning beasts who are too stupid to understand the need or desire to work. Maybe if those job creators weren’t busy either using near-slave labor in our prisons or shipping our jobs over seas and the GOP wasn’t crashing our educational system, we would be able to employ everyone who is employable.

Let’s not forget NE’s Jon Bruning making a direct comparison of poor people to animals:

He thought it was funny and cannot imagine that anyone else would react otherwise. When your personal contacts are narrow, your life experiences similarly narrow, and all your sources of information are carefully selected for their agreement with you and your biases, I suppose thinking like this and expecting others to, as well, is the result.

I really do believe that sums it up quite nicely. They don’t seem to realize that when they’re blowing the dog whistle or putting out these kinds of statements on social media that not only will the people who agree with them receive the message, so will those who are rightfully offended, those they meant to offend.
Republicans on social media are like toddlers playing hide n’ seek. They think that because they can’t see you, you can’t see them.
