Discussion: Ohio Lawmaker Reveals Rape, Abortion During Debate Over 'Heartbeat Bill'

Discussion for article #234730

Rape and subsequent abortion? I don’t think that’s possible, since the reproductive system has a way of shutting that whole thing down. A politician once told me that, and they never lie.

I applaud the courage it took to make this public revelation. And she’s quite right – the opposition has no clue about how pro-choice people feel about the prospect of forced child birth.

This woman is brave and correct.

His is FORMER congressman Todd Aiken. I hope nobody forgets it. “If it’s legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.” We need more like Teresa Fedor and fewer like Todd Aiken.

This. And also, I’ve been reliably informed here of late that a “mere accusation” is insufficient to establish that any so-called “rape” occurred so there’s no reason whatsoever we should believe her given that she apparantly didn’t report it to the authorities at the time.

Look lady, the Ohio Taliban has spoken! We don’t want to hear any of your fairytales, so go back to where you came from, sit down and shut up!!

God bless her, and every woman brave enough, for speaking out. But it is beyond disgusting that the forced-birthers are so ignorant, self-righteous, and vindictive toward “sluts” (ie, women having sex) that women should have to expose themselves this way just in the hope of awakening a trace of reason and empathy in any of them. Damn them all to the hell most of them believe in.

Even if the bill passed, it would be fought. It’s unconstitutional.

Are you sure she’s the Look Lady? She looks like the Listen Lady.
