Oh shit now ISIS knows how many we are sending and weâll lose!
The 3,900 figure includes a combination of trainers, security forces and other support troops, according to the officials, who werenât authorized to publicly discuss details âŚ
Is that a lot? Enough to make any difference? Just a symbolic gesture? Why wouldnât the Afghans âwait us outâ? They waited everyone else out. It is their country and their goats, after all. I just donât see a strategy here unless itâs a distraction.
Per Breitbart, according to Erik Prince (and why should we not believe him?), McMaster wanted 70,000-80,000 troops in Afghanistan. Maybe the Blackwater guys better get their stuff together and arrange transportation.

[/quote]I think you nailed it. Trumpâs strategy is to have a distraction - actually a distraction that can change based on conditions in Muellerâs investigation, the media and whatever else needs to be distracted from. I canât see a 3900 troop increase being a military strategy at all to achieve any real and lasting objectives.
If 100,000 couldnât do it back in 2010-11, Iâm pretty sure 12,000 isnât going to do it today. Without a functional government in Kabul and stopping Pakistan from supporting the Taliban, this is a fig leaf policy.
They are probably just âadvisorsâ , which will help with the âAfghanistationâ (?) of the conflict.
A well known pattern, next up: the draft âŚ
Before he was a presidential candidate, Trump ardently argued for a quick withdrawal from Afghanistan and called the war a massive waste of U.S. âblood and treasure.â
Though he didnât mention it last night (thank fâ God), this notion might have also changed his mind.

Trump was among those who argued that Obama was aiding the enemy by telegraphing U.S. intentions
He warned against the mistakes made in Iraq, where an American military withdrawal led to a vacuum that the Islamic State group quickly filled.
tired of fact checking this, soooooo
âWe know how to defend our motherland,â said one of the commanders, who, like many of the militants, spoke on condition of anonymity. âIf we could fight this war for 16 years with limited resources against the worldâs well-equipped armies, we are happy to continue this fight against the enemy.â
âTrump offered few specifics of how his strategy would be implemented.â
Phase 1: Collect underpants.
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Obliterate ISIS, crush al-Qaida, and prevent the Taliban from taking over Afghanistan.
His secret plan is apparently to have India piss off Pakistan to the point where Pakistan launches a nuke at India and India retaliates and Afghanistan will no longer be a problem since the fallout will definitely wipe the problem out.
So, how would that be calculated in terms of Friedman Units and body bags?
Well, if youâre going to have a secret plan, you might as well go big. Get some nukes flying, and blame it on someone else.
Hold on. Why would we need to obliterate ISIS? I thought Donald Trump crushed ISIS into a fine powder thirty days after the biggest inauguration in the history of the universe?
Somehow I think Donnieâs little self-gratification speech last night recruited more than 3,900 new Taliban / ISIS fighters.
Always creating jobs, Hair Furor?
Dommylucâs Afghanistan Plan:
No one knows anything, so just shut the fuck up and get the fuck out.
But, of course, I donât grab pussies or bankrupt casinos or kiss the asses of Nazis so nobody gives a flying fuck what I think. Otherwise, Maggie Haberman of the NYT would be singing daily hosannas to me. With Glenn Thrush singing falsetto in the background.
Trumpâs objectives of âobliterating ISIS, crushing al-Qaida, preventing the Taliban from taking over Afghanistan and stopping mass terror attacks against America before they emerge.â
Those objectives seem a bit loftier than what an additional 3900 troops can accomplish. Better wear your Captain America gear and up your game, troops - Conman in Chief Trump is counting on you to win.
We are now in Afghanistan for three reasons:. 1. A base for anti terrorist efforts against the Taliban and other terrorists.
2. Prevent another embarrassing loss similar to Vietnam.
3. American control of rare earth minerals in abundance in Afghanistan.
You can decide which of the three is most important.
Trump: âMake no mistake: Weâre coming for your coal.â
