Discussion for article #224248
Yeah. I’m sure the hens feel great that the fox is watching the house.
Voter ID laws, laws restricting access to the ballot box, a Texas Republican Party platform that calls for the repeal of the Voting Rights Act, South Dakota Republican Party platform that calls for the impeachment of the first black president, and now “observers” to intimidate voters.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: It’s a racist political party, and this is exactly what we should expect from them.
“If you voted in the Democratic primary, you are not eligible to vote in the Republican primary. So that being said, if you’re a Democratic voter and you’ve decided you’re going to vote in the Republican primary and you didn’t vote in the Democratic primary well go for it,” Brandon said. “But if you did vote in the Democratic primary —and there’s files to check and all of that— we just want to make sure that stuff is being done to make sure that people can’t be voting twice in this election.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me there’s little room for voter fraud here.

I think it very unlikely that anyone could possibly meet all of those conditions that justify challenging their vote, unless perhaps there is a typo in item 6:
6) The voter has removed his/her ballot from the polling place, and
Should that perhaps read or instead of and?
If a person is Black can’t you just assume they are Democrat?
(snark)
So the Breitbart/Gadsen/metal penis intimidation gangs will gather 31 feet from the polls.
Challenge # 8: The voter is a Nigra.

Umm…the one statewide Democrat in office in MS is…you guessed it, the AG.
Don’t think I saw his party mentioned…
“I don’t want to go up to the Delta. Too many Democrats up there.”
Want to take a guess what this nice middle-aged woman meant?
Looks like it might get a bit crowded tomorrow in the polling places.
Hope everyone wears a good deodorant.
Was there a Democratic primary in Missippi this year?
Better the state government fox, than McDaniel’s wolves.
The voting rules shown here seem pretty standard and reasonable. I hope the state officials can keep voter intimidation at bay.
I’d be much more interested in seeing just how quickly they flip the script when it comes to the general midterm election in Nov. between the Democratic candidate and the prevailing Repuke out of this particular primary. My guess is they’ll welcome all kinds of outside busy-bodies to monitor the polling stations by then, or at least give a subtle wink and a nod, which generally seems to be the accepted long-standing practice in that State.
Arf, arf. Fido got it.
Isn’t the “crossover voting prohibited” law the one that the AG and others have said is unconstitutional and/or unenforceable? Especially since they have open primaries – which a lot of Southern States adopted to help ease the region’s transfer from primarily D to R, btw.
And note, aside from the very vague No. 7, this Crossover prohibition isn’t listed as one of the specific challenges.
Just my 'pinion but the people who got caught wandering around in the courthouse in the small hours of election night last time should probably not be the ones to observe and guarantee the integrity of the next election.
