Discussion for article #242222
If there is a âWar On Copsâ, well all of us are on the losing side of it. Maybe this is what the NRA was warning us all about? the U.S. becoming an occupied police state.
Pretty indefensible based on the video. Just a straight up killing.
The cop was clearly out of danger of being run over.
Cop did what cops do. He compelled compliance. In this case, he did it by means of murder.
Why should anyone have to die over a small amount of marijuana? Tragic.
Another asshole with a gun.
Kids need to know that the police will kill them if they donât immediately comply. Actually, it also true for adults.
This is so depressing.
Another great outcome from the war on drugs.
No charges against this cop is a travesty, he had no reason to shoot that kid.
If the officer was legitimately concerned for his safety given that âHammond was threatening to run him overâ, then perhaps not repeatedly trying to step in front of his car while it was moving might be a better idea than just murdering the driver?
sigh
Itâs not like they were after a killer or something here where there risk to the public; it just was a suspected drug sting. Get the guys license plate and pay him a visit later. Thereâs no excuse for this. The officer here should be in prison. Instead, the taxpayers of Seneca will be on the hook to pay off the boyâs family and the officer will walk away cleanâŚ
That was an execution.
Leave Chrissy Adams alone! Sheâs a good Southern Republican:

Look at that pale grinning face! Are you telling me you donât trust her?
Just bad policing all around.
So, Chrissy didnât see the video? And Greg Dietterick somehow is happy that this is closed and shows just self defense? WTF?
I hope the family has other legal recourse. They should be getting millions and the cop should be in jail. Itâs obviously not even close.
Pretty much the definition of cop. You donât become a cop if you are nice person.
He had a excuse to kill someone and he used it. That was the reason he joined the force, he likes guns and has spent countless hours shooting at human shaped targets, (and who knows how long fantasizing about shooting criminals) that when presented with half a chance of killing someone he is going to take it. Itâs not about what the victim was doing, it was about the cop wanting to kill.
He was never in danger of being run over. The closest it came was when he stupidly tried to dance in front of a moving vehicle that was going maybeâŚ5mph? at the time.
I would have to question this entire sting operation. Selling small amounts of marijuana to teenagers so they can bust them afterwards with lots of bravado and gun slinging? It sounds more like entrapment than it does a sting.
When did we, as a society accept, âCOMPLY OR DIE!â from our law enforcement?
Is that the 5th line in the Constitution?
Almost 1,000 people have been murdered by police, this year alone. You canât tell me each and every one of them âdeserved itâ.
Just because you have your gun out when you give the orders doesnât mean you get to shoot if they donât comply.
