He’s getting a “reward” as well

Pity that we have to read about it in the UK papers, isn’t it?

So what? Who the hell cares? They seem to give those things away like candy. And the Chief is ridiculous and a liar and incompetent. And what’s with all the side distractions? None of this is relevant and it doesn’t negate the fact that this officer shot an unarmed teen while his hands were up and he was running and when he turned around (hands still up mind you), and continued to dump his gun into him.

The blue wall of silence on which police protect each other will be erected once again in the name of protecting another killer cop. It may seem a distraction to read about an award he received for something the police department is not talking about, so it could have been trivial or it could have been noteworthy. However, he will have the support of his brothers (and sisters) on the force until the bitter end. Perhaps the Justice Department will be able to bring him to justice because it’s not going to happen locally.

I’m sure he’s very helpful and friendly, even heroic, as long as the person he’s dealing with looks like him.

Makes no difference…just like the video released.

I am ashamed for them… I realize that it’s pointless.
Even as an Agnostic, I expectantly hope for a judgrment before this mythical thing… so I can ask “who the fuck are these assholes?”.
Followed by “Why”.

I wonder what awards Michael Brown won 6 months ago for extraordinary service.

This is probably the least informative story versus the most alluring headline I have, as yet, ever read on TPM.

I heard from a friend of a friend that he likes puppies and ice cream cones, and his favorite color is mauve.

They don’t stop do they. Michael Brown was the devil and Darren Wilson was an angel incarnate.

…That is, up until Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown in the back as he fled and then executed him once he turned around to surrender.

I’m pretty sure that shooting someone in the back outweighs that award he got, and I don’t even know what that award was. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

my wife and I had a discussion this evening and we both agreed - power in America needs to be limited. we truly believe that any person in a powerful position should be limited to 5 - 10 yrs. reason being power corrupts. if you need an example just look at new York or Chicago’s black congressional leaders and see how worthless they are (you can also look at any southern white district) - meaning, their district have not changed a bit since they took office ie Charlie “the worthless” rangel.

…and the organization was the KKK?

The “fact”? I don’t think the public knows the “facts” yet. What we have are two different versions of the same event – one from Officer Wilson, and another from Mr. Brown’s friend and robbery accomplice who witnessed the shooting. You’ve already convicted the officer, and the full set of facts hasn’t even been marshalled!

Ask yourself this: Is there any fact or set of facts that you could come to understand that would change your belief that the officer’s actions were not justified? What if the medical examination report found that Mr. Brown was shot at close range in the chest, which would support the PD’s version of the shooting, and completely discredit the version told by Mr. Brown’s friend and other witnesses? Would that change your mind? If not, then your objectivity is seriously in question.
