Discussion: Office Of Special Counsel: Trump's Social Media Director Violated Hatch Act

Trump: No one can and will do anything. This passed TrumpCare and helps with money given to rich from those 24 Million who lose health care. We will do it again.

If I understand the penalty section of The Hatch Act (5 U.S.C.S. § 1505), the only remedy is removal from office. Looks like the first of many departures for Trump’s staff.

They’re new to government, and don’t understand the protocols that every other administration in the history of the republic have respected. In a few years (i.e. 9) they will have it figured out. Until then, it’s a free pass.

Paul Ryan: Trump administration does not understand the complicated regulations that exist in DC. This is a refreshing change.

Trump: No worries. He will be removed and then I will hire him back. Life is good.

Folks, the cesspool better known as Washington DC politics thrives on the perception that elected officials are in some way held accountable for their crimes/misdeeds/cons. Try to come up with the last time a major political official was prosecuted in any serious way. As noted on this board, a “sternly written letter” means nothing. Our elite pols know they are immune from everything except the most heinous, obvious, undeniable crimes (like being caught holding the severed head of an infant). It’s sickening, because we citizens want to believe there’s someone watching the store and there’s a “cop on the beat” when it comes to criminal or unethical actions by elected officials. The days of the Nixon Watergate investigation are long gone. Never again will we see true bi-partisan determination to protect our Constitution and our national credibility. It’s all about Party with the GOP, never about Country, so don’t expect Trump to be impeached (unless Dems take Congress in 2018). Kick the bums out.

Good for CREW. I don’t know if it will amount to anything but someone should call this smarmy little thug out. It’s not the first time he’s pulled this crap in the last few months. We really don’t need people like this.

Trump has a director of social media and still sends out crazy, undisciplined tweets?

ENOUGH with the warnings, ENOUGH with lame excuses…
WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE are fed up with this administration’s b-slapping the traditions and laws that come with holding the highest positions in the land. We’re tired of their BS.

Watch STUID try to overturn or change the HATCH RULE.

Paul Ryan, orin Hatch and McConnell are on fast track of getting butts handed to them on a platter.

Attention Paul Ryan if Donald Trumps can’t do the job, we want him OUT. Enough of YOUR EXCUSES FOR DONALD TRUMP’S INCOMPETENCE.

How can you possibly expect an administration that ran on having the executive experience to successfully manage the complexities of a huge enterprise…to have the executive experience to successfully manage the complexities of a huge enterprise?

Honestly, you people just want the world!

The fundamental problem is that these people either don’t know or don’t care that they work for the American people.

Their loyalty should be to Americans, not Donald Trump.

But, heck, at this point, I’d settle for them not being loyal to Putin.
