He is setting himself up for compromising his position…and the Country. This is why investigative journalism will make the case, with the help of the twitter world out there looking for leads. From here on in, the American Press should boycott his WH press conferences, and just leave them for Brietbart, Infowars, the National Inquirer, and the Russian RT and Sputnik. It is time to play hardball journalism.

What they lack in ethics they have to make up with ethics offices.
But all of this will be history soon. Oversight is such a 20th century concept.
The Office of Gov Ethics is having a collective stroke. They actually are needed now and therefore they must go.
In 4 years ethics will be not stabbing your partner in the back while eating soufflé or publicly disclosing that you’re not going to disclose anything.
Ethics, as loose as they were are now wholly fucked.

It’s pretty clear that he wasn’t even planning to president full-time until there was pressure put on him.
Unfortunately the OGE director serves a five-year term, and he’s been there for four.

I don’t know if there has ever been a more experienced individual to run for the office than Hillary, the contrast in qualifications between the two… I feel that I am left without a proper adjective, maybe “yuuge”?

The thing is, Trump has set new precedents for all Presidents going forward. Never again will a Presidential reveal his taxes, his health records, or divest himself of his personal holdings/create a blind trust. Never again with a Presidential candidate respond to questions with facts or fill cabinet positions with qualified individuals. The American public, in all its glory, has accepted this new norm. We are willing to accept show over substance; in fact, we clearly prefer it. As far as I am concerned, there is no difference between the Brown Shirts (Sturmabteilung) of the past and the Red Hats of today. And much as the Sturmabteilung preceded establishment of the Nazi party, I would not be surprised (anticipate) that Trump’s fanatics are just getting started. So we need to remember Martin Niemöller’s admonition that “First they came for the Socialists but I did not speak out - Because I was not a Socialist.” Trump has established the “new norm” and frankly, I am worried.

‘Ethics and values’ was just a political slogan for the GOP. They didn’t really mean they HAD them…they just wanted to bash people that MIGHT have them.
Per the comment above, Politicus is reporting that the folders were empty paper. My guess would have been that the Best Russia Lawfirm in the USA ran off copies of every boilerplate employment agreement, because essentially, Donald Trump is appointing or employing Donald Jr. and Eric, that is what his announced measures amount to.

Did you catch where he said “I leaned 3 months ago” that he wasn’t allowed to run his businesses while prez? Then went on riff that while he was fully capable of running both, didn’t want to give appearance that he wasn’t giving running the country his full attention.
