Maybe Rep Lewis and AOC could team up and give some pointers
Other appropriate responses:
“Hey, weren’t you in our party until people got sick of you?”
“Hey, aren’t you the guy who sat by like a paddled puppy when Dick Friggin’ Cheney claimed he didn’t make any money from the federal govt?”
She, and her generation, are masters of social media. Whether you agree with her is a different story, of course. If the young-uns are willing to bring the not -so savvy- with -social -media people up to speed I’m all for it.
Sounds Prime AF — or “lit,” if you prefer.
What I’m even more stoked about is that Elizabeth Warren has signed the “no fossil fuel money” pledge, Warren and Castro have both backed a Green New Deal, and AOC has brought marginal tax rates into the public discourse, which has the benefit of educating people about how tax brackets actually work. And a big majority of the public supports her idea for a 70% tax on income over $10 million.
I’m looking forward to seeing future positive developments brought about by AOC and the new generation of Democrats.
Weren’t you advising Betsy Devos for her Senate hearing for Sec of Ed? Wasn’t that you sitting in the room there supporting your client?
Then my work is done here!
The bloopers, and there will be some…should be fun.
Ha!
While she’s at it, she’s going to show them how to fix the VCR so it’s not always flashing “12:00”.
There will be a test …
Everyone will get an A and a participation trophy.
All perfectly appropriate indeed but hers uses a meme he probably doesn’t even know to underscore how irrelevant he is to today’s politics and world. She’s good at that stuff.
Nope. No multiple choice here, it’s a sashay test.
In that case, where do I sign up?
No fair.
I think you’re a generation off…
She can try and I’m sure it’ll help. But this is like LeBron teaching me how to be an excellent basketball player. You can’t teach greatness. Her playful wit, her talent for succinctness on Twitter and knowing exactly where to land the knife and how to maximally annoy her detractors is a preternatural talent.
If an hour with LeBron didn’t make you a better shooter, you must be Steph Curry.
That’s how I see it. People can learn stuff, obviously. Some will learn more than others. But then there are the people like her and LeBron who’ve got deep talent and a lifetime of intense interest and experience. Very few people will come near that from a standing start later in life. Not in arts and letters, not in sports, not in Twitter snark, not in anything really.
The only real danger is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez becoming tech support.
