I hope this is sarcasm. The NYT report makes it clear what they were doing. One of them suggested that they all pose in front of Hillary’s portrait while putting up their middle fingers. Surprisingly, they decided to tone it down a little.

Apparently the White House wasn’t expecting Nugent or Kid Rock, but Palin invited them, and she had this flopping turd to say about it: “Asked why I invited Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, I joked, ‘Because Jesus was booked.’”
