America’s defense chief said Wednesday that an al-Qaida branch is making “great gains” on the ground amid the chaos in Yemen, and that the U.S. will have to rethink how it prevents the group from launching attacks in the West.
Its disgusting to watch as we boast that the Saudis are showing initiative in going after the Shiite Houthis while ignoring that this is strengthening the terrorists of al Qaida.
Much the same thing is going on along Israel’s border with Syria, where Netanyahu is providing assistance to al Qaida forces.
Al Qaida is the root of international terrorism. Shiite militias are involved in local wars, civil wars. The difference is enormous.
Israel and Saudi Arabia need to be reined in.
