First of all the climate agreement with China don’t need congress approval, and that’s what upsetting the Whoville party & their GOP/MSM PR people. So what the GOP/MEDIA do is omit details of how the President achieved this landmark deal. Until Koch/GOP/Media can cook up scheme to derail the agreement.

Second Pres. Obama achieved more historic agreements with China that Koch/GOP/Media negated to report

  • U.S. & China Trade Deal to cut Tech Tariff
  • U.S. & China Visa Reform Agreement
  • U.S. & China Agreement to avert Military Confrontation

Sure, but you need a 2/3 vote of the Senate to approve a treaty. You can’t get 2/3 of the Senate to agree this is November.

Further confirmation that the whole thing is a Commie plot.

(Boy do they miss that easy epitaph to attach to things they think–rightly or wrongly, and usually wrongly–will redistribute wealth downward. Or, worse still, actual entrepreneurism that disrupts monopolies).

Not a treaty. Just an agreement. Obama will regulate under the CAA, China will do what it’s doing.

The treaty is the Kyoto-successor that’s currently under negotiation. And, yeah, no ratification of that until 2016, if then. But, then, the last three rounds of nuclear arms control agreements with the Soviets were never ratified either, but we still followed them.

He’s not above the Congress, they are co-equal branches. But the president does have the power to negotiate treaties, which the Congress does not have. OTOH, the Congress (that is, the Senate) has to ratify the treaty before it is officially the law of the land.

And in other environmental news, we have this:

WTF TPM? That is your headline! So what if the Republicans are angry with something President Obama does. That is as noteworthy as “Dog bites man.” Then the piece begins by using the word “groundbreaking” to describe it. In fact the article is informative, and mentions Republican reaction/opposition 2 times — using the same words. Yet, that is what headlines the article. Just inform us TPM. Let Drudge, Fox and other propaganda sites lead with false or misleading sensationalism — give us the facts of the story!
