What a shame.

He was highly qualified—and working for the ACLU (whose only real client is the US Constitution) should be a positive on his resume, not a reason to withdraw his nomination.

the Trolletariat only like the ACLU when the ACLU is defending Ollie North or thRush Limpballs.

“Bob Casey (D-PA), Chris Coons (D-DE), Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Mark Pryor (D-AR) and John Walsh (D-MT).”

Meet the 7 Dems who voted against the nomination. Political considerations I guess. Ignorance and race I suspect. Thurgood Marshall worked for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and became an outstanding jurist.

Another cowardly move by the Caver-in-Chief. Then the Dems will wonder why they get trounced in November. This coward will not fight for anything or anybody … a perfect representative for a party of whimps. Donations to the DCCC? I think not.

Sahil, you are derelict in mentioning only two of the seven Dem senators who voted against the nominee. Which if listed, would clearly paint the picture Obama was facing with the nomination. Thus the need to refocus and paramount of the red meat you offered, about control of Congress. What you meant control of the Dem caucus.

The coward is the author who failed to mentioned 7 Dem senators voted against the nominee making it impossible to advance to the floor. Marco, read some other sources before relying on news here. Perhaps you needed the red meat?

Now if you are a “wet hen” the chicken feed.

Thought the opposition wrong but at least he wasn’t filibustered.

Few Democrats were wrong, but that’s how democracy sometimes works. Good luck.

Obama gives up faster than the Iraqi Army!

What about the 7 Democrats who voted against the nomination? You are “fast” with the ODS.

Heitkamp has been a tremendous disappointment. And Walsh was another conservaDem trying to stay in office. Now he’s gone… and that vote would still have been “No.”

Oh, Darcy’s still het up because Bernie Sanders told Chuck Todd he’s “thinking” about running for President.

Caver-in-Chief? If you don’t have the votes, you don’t have the votes. If you don’t understand that, you’ll never play in he big leagues.

The vote was back on March 5th of this year 47-52 against the nomination, with Reid voting no in order to bring it back up later.

And unfortunately, the Senate is still as bone-idle and useless as it was back then.
